2 Thessalonians 2:3-12
31No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the 23apostasy comes first, and the 4man of lawlessness is revealed, the 5son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself above 67every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, 8displaying himself as being God. 5Do you not remember that 9while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6And you know 10what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7For 11the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only 1213He who now restrains will do so until 14He is 15removed. 8Then that lawless one 16will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate 17with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the 18appearance of His 19coming; 9that is, the one whose 20coming is in accord with the activity of 21Satan, with all power and false 2223signs and wonders, 10and with 24all the deception of wickedness for 25those who perish, because they did not accept the love of 26the truth so as to be saved. 11For this reason 27God 28will send upon them 29a 30deluding influence so that they will believe 31what is false, 12in order that they all may be 32judged who 33did not believe the truth, but 3435took pleasure in wickedness.
