Peter 1:2-8

1Grace and peace be multiplied to you in 2the knowledge of God and of Jesus 3our Lord,

for His 4divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true 5knowledge of Him who 6called us 7by His own glory and 8excellence.

Through 9these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent 10promises, so that by them you may become 11partakers of the divine nature, having 12escaped the 13corruption that is in 14the world on account of lust.

Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith 15supply 16moral 17excellence, and in your moral excellence, 18knowledge,

and in your knowledge, 19self-control, and in your self-control, 20perseverance, and in your perseverance, 21godliness,

and in your godliness, 22brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they do not make you useless nor 23unproductive in the true 24knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
