1 Timothy 2:9-15

9Likewise, I want 1women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, 2modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel,

10but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.

113A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.

124But I do not allow a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.

135For it was Adam who was first 6created, and then Eve.

14And it was not Adam who was deceived, but 7the woman was 8deceived and 9became a wrongdoer.

15But 10women will be 11preserved through 12childbirth--if they continue in 13faith, love, and sanctity, with moderation.
