1 Thessalonians 3:3-13

3so that no one would be 1disturbed by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that 2we have been destined for this. 4For even when we were with you, we kept telling you in advance that we were going to suffer affliction; 34and so it happened, 5as you know. 5For this reason, 6when I could no longer endure it, I also 7sent to 8find out about your faith, for fear that 9the tempter might have tempted you, and 10our labor would be for nothing.

6But now that 11Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us good news of 12your faith and love, and that you always 13think kindly of us, longing to see us just as we also long to see you, 7for this reason, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith; 8for now we really live, if you 14stand firm in the Lord. 9For 15what thanks can we give to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God, 10as we 16keep praying most earnestly night and day that we may 17see your faces, and may 18complete what is lacking in your faith?

1119Now may 20our God and Father 21Himself, and our Lord Jesus, 22direct our way to you; 12and may the Lord cause you to increase and 23overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; 13so that He may 24establish your hearts 25blameless in holiness before 26our God and Father at the 2728coming of our Lord Jesus 29with all His 30saints.
