1 Samuel 2:6-10

6 1The Lord puts to death and makes alive; 2He brings down to 3Sheol and brings up.7 4The Lord makes poor and rich; 5He humbles, He also exalts.8 6He raises the poor from the dust, 7He lifts the needy from the garbage heap 8To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; 9For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.9 10He watches over the feet of His godly ones, 11But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; 12For not by might shall a person prevail.10 13Those who contend with the Lord will be terrified; 14Against them He will thunder in the heavens, 15The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; 16And He will give strength to His king, 17And will exalt the 18horn of His anointed.”
