1 Peter 5:5-9

5 1You 2younger men, likewise, 3be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with 4humility toward one another, because 5God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

6Therefore 6humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7having cast all your 7anxiety on Him, because He cares about you. 8 8Be of sober spirit, 9be on the alert. Your adversary, 10the devil, prowls around like a roaring 11lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 12 13So resist him, 14firm in your faith, knowing that 15the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your 16brothers and sisters who are in the world.
