1 Peter 2:13-17
131Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14or to governors as sent 2by him 3for the punishment of evildoers and the 4praise of those who do right. 15For 56such is the will of God, that by doing right you 7silence the ignorance of foolish people. 16Act as 8free people, and 9do not use your freedom as a 10covering for evil, but use it as 11bond-servants of God. 1712Honor all people, 13love the brotherhood, 14fear God, 15honor the 16king.
