1 Peter 2:13-17
131Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14or to governors as sent 2by him 3for the punishment of evildoers and the 4praise of those who do right. 15For 56such is the will of God that by doing right you may 7silence the ignorance of foolish men. 16Act as 8free men, and 9do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as 10bondslaves of God. 1711Honor all people, 12love the brotherhood, 13fear God, 14honor the 15king.
