1 Peter 1:6-9
61In this you greatly rejoice, even though now 2for a little while, 3if necessary, you have been distressed by 4various 5trials, 7so that the 67proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes 8though tested by fire, 9may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at 10the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8and 11though you have not seen Him, you 12love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and 13full of glory, 9obtaining as 14the outcome of your faith, the salvation of 15your souls.
