1 Peter 1:19-25

19but with precious 1blood, as of a 2lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. 20For He was 3foreknown before 4the foundation of the world, but has 5appeared 6in these last times 7for the sake of you 21who through Him are 8believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and 9gave Him glory, so that your faith and 10hope are in God.

22Since you have 11purified your souls 12in obedience to the truth for a 13sincere love of the brothers and sisters, fervently love one another from 14the heart, 23for you have been 15born again 16not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring 17word of God. 24For, “18All flesh is like grass, And all its glory is like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off,2519But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is 20the word which was 21preached to you.
