1 John 2:24-29

24As for you, see that what you heard 1from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also 2will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 3This is the promise which He Himself 4made to us: eternal life.

26These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to 5deceive you. 27And as for you, the 6anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing 7teaches you about all things, and is 8true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, 9you remain in Him.

28Now, 10little children, remain in Him, so that when He 11appears, we may have 12confidence and 13not 14draw back from Him in shame 15at His 16coming. 29If you know that 17He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness also 18has been born of Him.
