1 John 2:20-27

20 1But you have an 2anointing from 3the Holy One, and 4you all know. 21I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but 5because you do know it, and 6because no lie is 7of the truth. 22Who is the liar except 8the one who denies that Jesus is the 9Christ? This is 10the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 11Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24As for you, see that what you heard 12from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also 13will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 14This is the promise which He Himself 15made to us: eternal life.

26These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to 16deceive you. 27And as for you, the 17anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing 18teaches you about all things, and is 19true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, 20you remain in Him.
