1 Corinthians 1:18-20

18For the word of the cross is 1foolishness to 2those who 3are perishing, but to us who 4are being saved it is 5the power of God. 19For it is written: “6I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the understanding of those who have understanding, I will confound.” 207Where is the wise person? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of 8this age? Has God not 9made foolish the wisdom of 10the world?
