1 Corinthians 1:18-20

18For the word of the cross is 1foolishness to 2those who 3are perishing, but to us who 4are being saved it is 5the power of God. 19For it is written, “6I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.” 207Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of 8this age? Has not God 9made foolish the wisdom of 10the world?
