Ezra 10:10-14
Then EzraH5830 the priestH3548 stoodH6965 up and saidH559 to them, “You have beenH4603 unfaithfulH4603 and have marriedH3427 foreignH5237 wivesH802 addingH3254 to the guiltH819 of IsraelH3478.
NowH6258 therefore, 1makeH5414 confessionH8426 to the LordH3068 GodH430 of your fathersH1 and 2doH6213 His willH7522; and 3separateH914 yourselves from the peoplesH5971 of the landH776 and from the foreignH5237 wivesH802.”
Then allH3605 the assemblyH6951 repliedH6030 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963, “That’s rightH3653! As you have saidH1697, so it is 4our dutyH5921 to doH6213.
But there are manyH7227 peopleH5971; it is the rainyH1653 seasonH6256 and we are not ableH3581 to standH5975 in the openH2351. NorH3808 can the taskH4399 be done in oneH259 or twoH8147 daysH3117, for we have transgressedH6586 greatlyH7235 in thisH2088 matterH1697.
Let our leadersH8269 5representH5975 the wholeH3605 assemblyH6951 and let allH3605 those in our citiesH5892 who have marriedH3427 foreignH5237 wivesH802 comeH935 at appointedH2163 timesH6256, togetherH5973 with the eldersH2205 and judgesH8199 of eachH5892 cityH5892, untilH5704 the 6fierceH2740 angerH639 of our GodH430 on accountH5704 of thisH2088 matterH1697 is turnedH7725 awayH7725 from us.”
