Romans 10:3-9
3For not knowing about 1God’s righteousness and 2seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4For 3Christ is the 4end of the law for righteousness to 5everyone who believes.
5For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is 6based on law 7shall live 8by that righteousness. 6But 9the righteousness 10based on faith speaks as follows: “11Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), 7or ‘Who will descend into the 12abyss?’ (that is, to 13bring Christ up from the dead).” 8But what does it say? “14The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 915that 16if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and 17believe in your heart that 18God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
