12Now it was toldוַיֻּגַּ֗דvai.yu.GadH5046Kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִד֮da.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹר֒le.MorH559, “The Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068has blessedבֵּרַ֣ךְbe.RakhH1288the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Obed-edomH5654and allכָּל־kol-H3605that belongs to him, on accountבַּעֲב֖וּרba.'a.VurH5668of the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430.”Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732wentוַיֵּ֣לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980and broughtוַיַּעַל֩vai.ya.'AlH5927up the arkאֲר֨וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֜יםha.'E.lo.HimH430from the houseמִבֵּ֨יתmi.BeitH1004of Obed-edomH5654intothe cityעִ֥יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732with gladnessבְּשִׂמְחָֽה׃be.sim.ChahH8057.

13And so it was, that whenכִּ֧יkiH3588thebearersנֹשְׂאֵ֥יno.se.'EiH5375of the arkאֲרוֹן־'a.ron-H727of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had goneצָעֲד֛וּtza.'a.DuH6805sixשִׁשָּׁ֣הshi.ShahH8337pacesצְעָדִ֑יםtze.'a.DimH6806,he sacrificedוַיִּזְבַּ֥חvai.yiz.BachH2076anoxשׁ֖וֹרShorH7794and a fatlingוּמְרִֽיא׃u.me.Ri'H4806.

14AndDavidוְדָוִ֛דve.da.VidH1732was dancingמְכַרְכֵּ֥רme.khar.KerH3769beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068with allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605hismightעֹ֖ז'ozH5797,and Davidוְדָוִ֕דve.da.VidH1732waswearingחָג֖וּרcha.GurH2296a linenבָּֽד׃BadH906ephodאֵפ֥וֹד'e.FodH646.

15So Davidוְדָוִד֙ve.da.VidH1732and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478were bringingמַעֲלִ֖יםma.'a.LimH5927up the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068with shoutingבִּתְרוּעָ֖הbit.ru.'AhH8643and the soundוּבְק֥וֹלu.ve.KolH6963of the trumpetשׁוֹפָֽר׃sho.FarH7782.

16Then it happenedוְהָיָה֙ve.ha.YahH1961asthe arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameבָּ֖אba'H935into the cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732thatMichalוּמִיכַ֨לu.mi.KhalH4324the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Saulשָׁא֜וּלsha.'UlH7586lookedנִשְׁקְפָ֣ה׀nish.ke.FahH8259out of the windowהַחַלּ֗וֹןha.cha.LonH2474and sawוַתֵּ֨רֶאva.Te.re'H7200Kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732leapingמְפַזֵּ֤זme.fa.ZezH6339and dancingוּמְכַרְכֵּר֙u.me.khar.KerH3769beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;and she despisedוַתִּ֥בֶזva.Ti.vezH959him in her heartבְּלִבָּֽהּ׃be.li.BahH3820.

17So they broughtוַיָּבִ֜אוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935in the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068and setוַיַּצִּ֤גוּvai.ya.Tzi.guH3322itin its placeבִּמְקוֹמ֔וֹbim.ko.MoH4725insideבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the tentהָאֹ֔הֶלha.'O.helH168whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732had pitchedנָטָה־na.tah-H5186for it; andDavidדָּוִ֥דda.VidH1732offeredוַיַּ֨עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927burntעֹל֛וֹתo.LotH5930offeringsH5930and peaceוּשְׁלָמִֽים׃u.she.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

18When Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732had finishedוַיְכַ֣לvay.KhalH3615offeringמֵהַעֲל֥וֹתme.ha.'a.LotH5927the burntהָעוֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and the peaceוְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑יםve.ha.she.la.MimH8002offeringH8002,he blessedוַיְבָ֣רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971in the nameבְּשֵׁ֖םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.
