1Now it happenedוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961aftermanyרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227daysיָמִ֣יםya.MimH3117that the wordוּדְבַר־u.de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068cameהָיָה֙ha.YahH1961to Elijahאֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452in the thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁ֖יתha.she.li.ShitH7992yearבַּשָּׁנָ֥הba.sha.NahH8141,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Goלֵ֚ךְlekhH1980,showהֵרָאֵ֣הhe.ra.'EhH7200yourself to Ahabאַחְאָ֔ב'ach.'AvH256, andI will sendוְאֶתְּנָ֥הve.'e.te.NahH5414rainמָטָ֖רma.TarH4306on the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ha.'a.da.MahH127.”
4forwhen Jezebelאִיזֶ֔בֶל'i.Ze.velH348destroyedבְּהַכְרִ֣יתbe.hakh.RitH3772the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,Obadiahעֹבַדְיָ֜הוּ'oad.Ya.huH5662tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947a hundredמֵאָ֣הme.'AhH3967prophetsנְבִאִ֗יםne.vi.'ImH5030and hidוַֽיַּחְבִּיאֵ֞םvai.yach.bi.'EmH2244them by fiftiesחֲמִשִּׁ֥יםcha.mi.ShimH2572in a caveבַּמְּעָרָ֔הba.me.'a.RahH4631, andprovidedוְכִלְכְּלָ֖םve.khil.ke.LamH3557them with breadלֶ֥חֶםLe.chemH3899and waterוָמָֽיִם׃va.Ma.yimH4325.)
5Then Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Obadiahעֹ֣בַדְיָ֔הוּ'oad.Ya.huH5662, “Goלֵ֤ךְlekhH1980through the landבָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ba.'A.retzH776to allכָּל־kol-H3605the springsמַעְיְנֵ֣יma'.ye.NeiH4599of waterהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325and to allכָּל־kol-H3605the valleysהַנְּחָלִ֑יםha.ne.cha.LimH5158;perhapsאוּלַ֣י׀'u.LaiH194we will findנִמְצָ֣אnim.Tza'H4672grassחָצִ֗ירcha.TzirH2682and keepH2421the horsesס֣וּסsusH5483and mulesוָפֶ֔רֶדva.Fe.redH6505aliveוּנְחַיֶּה֙u.ne.chai.YehH2421, and nothave to killנַכְרִ֖יתnakh.RitH3772someH4480of the cattleמֵהַבְּהֵמָֽה׃me.ha.be.he.MahH929.”
6So they dividedוַֽיְחַלְּק֥וּvay.cha.le.KuH2505the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776between them tosurveyלַֽעֲבָר־la.'a.vor-H5674it; Ahabאַחְאָ֞ב'ach.'AvH256wentהָלַ֨ךְha.LakhH1980oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259wayבְּדֶ֤רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870by himselfלְבַדּ֔וֹle.va.DoH905and Obadiahוְעֹֽבַדְיָ֛הוּve.'oad.Ya.huH5662wentהָלַ֥ךְha.LakhH1980anotherאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259wayבְּדֶרֶךְ־be.de.rekh-H1870by himselfלְבַדּֽוֹ׃le.va.DoH905.
7Now as Obadiahעֹבַדְיָ֙הוּ֙'oad.Ya.huH5662was on the wayבַּדֶּ֔רֶךְba.De.rekhH1870,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,Elijahאֵלִיָּ֖הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452metלִקְרָאת֑וֹlik.ra.ToH7122him,and he recognizedוַיַּכִּרֵ֙הוּ֙vai.ya.ki.Re.huH5234him and fellוַיִּפֹּ֣לvai.yi.PolH5307on his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Is thisזֶ֖הzehH2088you, Elijahאֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃'e.li.Ya.huH452my masterאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113?”
10As the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430livesחַ֣י׀chaiH2416,thereיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426is noאִם־'im-H518nationגּ֤וֹיGoyH1471or kingdomוּמַמְלָכָה֙u.mam.la.KhahH4467whereאֲ֠שֶׁר שָׁם֙'a.Sher shamH834H8033my masterאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113has not sentשָׁלַ֨חsha.LachH7971to searchלְבַקֶּשְׁךָ֔le.va.kesh.ChaH1245for you; and when they saidוְאָמְר֖וּve.'a.me.RuH559, ‘He is not here,’he made the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467or nationהַגּ֔וֹיha.GoyH1471swearוְהִשְׁבִּ֤יעַve.hish.Bi.a'H7650that they could not findיִמְצָאֶֽכָּה׃yim.tza.'E.kahH4672you.
12It will comeוְהָיָ֞הve.ha.YahH1961about when I leaveאֵלֵ֣ךְ'e.LekhH1980H4480youthat the Spiritוְר֨וּחַve.Ru.achH7307of the Lordיְהוָ֤ה׀Yah.wehH3068will carryיִֽשָּׂאֲךָ֙yi.sa.'a.KhaH5375you whereעַ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר'al 'a.SherH5921H834I do not knowאֵדָ֔ע'e.Da'H3045;so when I comeוּבָ֨אתִיu.Va.tiH935and tellלְהַגִּ֧ידle.ha.GidH5046Ahabלְאַחְאָ֛בle.'ach.'AvH256and he cannotH3808findיִֽמְצָאֲךָ֖yim.tza.'a.KhaH4672you, he will killוַהֲרָגָ֑נִיva.ha.ra.Ga.niH2026me, although Iyour servantוְעַבְדְּךָ֛ve.'av.de.KhaH5650havefearedH3372the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068from my youthמִנְּעֻרָֽי׃mi.ne.'u.RaiH5271.

15Elijahאֵֽלִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “As the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635livesחַ֚יchaiH2416,beforeלְפָנָ֑יוle.fa.NavH6440whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I standעָמַ֖דְתִּי'a.Mad.tiH5975,I will surelyכִּ֥יkiH3588showאֵרָאֶ֥ה'e.ra.'EhH7200myself to him todayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117.”
18He saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I have not troubledעָכַ֙רְתִּי֙'a.Khar.tiH5916Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,but you and your father’sאָבִ֑יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1houseוּבֵ֣יתu.VeitH1004have, becauseyou have forsakenבַּֽעֲזָבְכֶם֙ba.'a.za.ve.KhemH5800the commandmentsמִצְוֹ֣תmitz.VotH4687of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068andyou have followedוַתֵּ֖לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֥יva.Te.lekh 'a.cha.ReiH1980H310the Baalsהַבְּעָלִֽים׃ha.be.'a.LimH1168.
19Nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258then sendשְׁלַ֨חshe.LachH7971andgatherקְבֹ֥ץke.VotzH6908to me allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478atMountהַ֣רharH2022Carmelהַכַּרְמֶ֑לha.kar.MelH3760, togetherwith 450אַרְבַּ֧ע מֵא֣וֹת וַחֲמִשִּׁ֗ים'ar.Ba' me.'ot va.cha.mi.ShimH702H3967H2572prophetsנְבִיאֵ֨יne.vi.'EiH5030of Baalהַבַּ֜עַלha.Ba.'alH1168and 400אַרְבַּ֣ע מֵא֔וֹת'ar.Ba' me.'otH702H3967prophetsוּנְבִיאֵ֤יu.ne.vi.'EiH5030ofthe Asherahהָֽאֲשֵׁרָה֙ha.'a.she.RahH842,who eatאֹכְלֵ֖י'o.khe.LeiH398at Jezebel’sאִיזָֽבֶל׃'i.Za.velH348tableשֻׁלְחַ֥ןshul.ChanH7979.”
God or Baal on Mount Carmel
21Elijahאֵלִיָּ֜הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452cameH5066nearH5066to allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “HowH4970longעַד־'ad-H5704H4970will youhesitateפֹּסְחִים֮po.se.ChimH6452betweenעַל־'al-H5921twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147opinionsH5589?Ifאִם־'im-H518the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068is Godהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430,followלְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֔יוle.Khu 'a.cha.RavH1980H310Him; but ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,followלְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֑יוle.Khu 'a.cha.RavH1980H310him.” But the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971did not answerעָנ֥וּ'a.NuH6030him a wordדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697.
22Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971, “Ialoneלְבַדִּ֑יle.va.DiH905am leftנוֹתַ֧רְתִּיno.Tar.tiH3498a prophetנָבִ֛יאna.Vi'H5030of the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068,but Baal’sהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168prophetsוּנְבִיאֵ֣יu.ne.vi.'EiH5030are450אַרְבַּע־ מֵא֥וֹת וַחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים'ar.ba'- me.'ot va.cha.mi.ShimH702H3967H2572menאִֽישׁ׃'IshH376.
23Now let them giveH5414us twoשְׁנַ֣יִםshe.Na.yimH8147oxenפָּרִ֗יםpa.RimH6499;and let them chooseוְיִבְחֲר֣וּve.yiv.cha.RuH977oneהָאֶחָ֜דha.'e.ChadH259oxהַפָּ֨רha.ParH6499for themselves and cutוִֽינַתְּחֻ֗הוּvi.na.te.Chu.huH5408it up, and placeH7760it on the woodהָ֣עֵצִ֔יםha.'e.TzimH6086,but putH7760noH3808fireוְאֵ֖שׁve.'EshH784under it;and I will prepareאֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה׀'e.'e.SehH6213the otherהָאֶחָ֗דha.'e.ChadH259oxהַפָּ֣רha.ParH6499and layH7760it on the woodהָ֣עֵצִ֔יםha.'e.TzimH6086,and I will not putH7760a fireוְאֵ֖שׁve.'EshH784under it.
24Then you callוּקְרָאתֶ֞םu.ke.ra.TemH7121on the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of your godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,and I will callאֶקְרָ֣א'ek.Ra'H7121on the nameבְשֵׁם־ve.shem-H8034of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, andthe Godהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834answersH6030by fireבָאֵ֖שׁva.'EshH784,He is Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430.”And allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “That is a goodט֥וֹבTovH2896ideaהַדָּבָֽר׃ha.da.VarH1697.”
25So Elijahאֵלִיָּ֜הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the prophetsלִנְבִיאֵ֣יlin.vi.'EiH5030of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168, “Chooseבַּחֲר֨וּba.cha.RuH977oneהָֽאֶחָד֙ha.'e.ChadH259oxהַפָּ֤רha.ParH6499for yourselves and prepareוַעֲשׂ֣וּva.'a.SuH6213it firstרִאשֹׁנָ֔הri.sho.NahH7223for you are manyהָרַבִּ֑יםha.ra.BimH7227,and callוְקִרְאוּ֙ve.kir.'UH7121on the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of your godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,but putתָשִֽׂימוּ׃ta.Si.muH7760noלֹ֥אlo'H3808fireוְאֵ֖שׁve.'EshH784under it.”
26Then they tookוַ֠יִּקְחוּVai.yik.chuH3947the oxהַפָּ֨רha.ParH6499whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834was givenנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414them and they preparedוַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֒vai.ya.'a.SuH6213it and calledוַיִּקְרְא֣וּvai.yik.re.'UH7121on the nameבְשֵׁם־ve.shem-H8034of Baalהַ֠בַּעַלHa.ba.'alH1168from morningמֵהַבֹּ֨קֶרme.ha.Bo.kerH1242untilוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704noonהַצָּהֳרַ֤יִםha.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672sayingלֵאמֹר֙le.MorH559, “O Baalהַבַּ֣עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,answerעֲנֵ֔נוּ'a.Ne.nuH6030us.” But thereH369wasnoH369voiceק֖וֹלKolH6963and noH369oneH369answeredעֹנֶ֑ה'o.NehH6030. And theyleapedוַֽיְפַסְּח֔וּvay.fa.se.ChuH6452aboutעַל־'al-H5921the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they madeעָשָֽׂה׃'a.SahH6213.
27It cameוַיְהִ֨יvay.HiH1961about at noonבַֽצָּהֳרַ֜יִםva.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672,that Elijahאֵלִיָּ֗הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452mockedוַיְהַתֵּ֧לvay.ha.TelH2048them and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Callקִרְא֤וּkir.'UH7121out with a loudגָּדוֹל֙ga.dOlH1419voiceבְקוֹל־ve.kol-H6963,for he is a godאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430;eitherH3588he is occupiedשִׂ֧יחַSi.achH7879or goneH5509asideH5509,or is on a journeyדֶ֣רֶךְDe.rekhH1870,or perhapsאוּלַ֛י'u.LaiH194he is asleepיָשֵׁ֥ןya.ShenH3463and needs to be awakenedוְיִקָֽץ׃ve.yi.KatzH3364.”
28So they criedוַֽיִּקְרְאוּ֙vai.yik.re.'UH7121with a loudגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963andcutוַיִּתְגֹּֽדְדוּ֙vai.yit.go.de.DuH1413themselves according to their customכְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֔םke.mish.pa.TamH4941with swordsבַּחֲרָב֖וֹתba.cha.ra.VotH2719and lancesוּבָֽרְמָחִ֑יםu.va.re.ma.ChimH7420untilעַד־'ad-H5704the bloodדָּ֖םdamH1818gushedשְׁפָךְ־she.fokh-H8210out on them.
29When middayהַֽצָּהֳרַ֔יִםha.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672was pastכַּעֲבֹ֣רka.'a.VorH5674, theyravedוַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֔וּvai.yit.na.be.'UH5012untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the time of the offeringלַעֲל֣וֹתla.'a.LotH5927of the eveningsacrificeהַמִּנְחָ֑הha.min.ChahH4503;but thereH369was noH369voiceק֥וֹלKolH6963,noH369oneH369answeredעֹנֶ֖ה'o.NehH6030,and noH369oneH369paidH7182attentionקָֽשֶׁב׃Ka.shevH7182.
30Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֤הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971, “ComeH5066nearH5066to me.” So allכָל־khol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971cameH5066nearH5066to him. Andhe repairedוַיְרַפֵּ֛אvay.ra.Pe'H7495the altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068which had been tornהֶהָרֽוּס׃he.ha.RusH2040downH2040.
31Elijahאֵלִיָּ֗הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947twelveשְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙she.Teim 'es.RehH8147H6240stonesאֲבָנִ֔ים'a.va.NimH68according to the numberכְּמִסְפַּ֖רke.mis.ParH4557of the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,to whomאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068had comeH1961,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall be your nameשְׁמֶֽךָ׃she.Me.khaH8034.”
32So with the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֛יםha.'a.va.NimH68he builtוַיִּבְנֶ֧הvai.yiv.NehH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֖חַmiz.Be.achH4196inthe nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and he madeוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a trenchתְּעָלָ֗הte.'a.LahH8585aroundסָבִ֖יבsa.VivH5439the altarלַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃la.miz.Be.achH4196,largeH1004enough to holdH1004twomeasuresסָאתַ֣יִםsa.Ta.yimH5429of seedזֶ֔רַעZe.ra'H2233.
34And he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Fillמִלְא֨וּmil.'UH4390fourאַרְבָּעָ֤ה'ar.ba.'AhH702pitchersכַדִּים֙kha.DimH3537with waterמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325and pourוְיִֽצְק֥וּve.yitz.KuH3332iton the burntהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and on the woodהָעֵצִ֑יםha.'e.TzimH6086.”And he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “DoH8138it a secondH8138timeH8138,”and they didH8138it a secondH8138timeH8138.And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “DoH8027it a thirdשַׁלֵּ֖שׁוּsha.Le.shuH8027timeוַיְשַׁלֵּֽשׁוּ׃vay.sha.Le.shuH8027,”and they didH8027it a thirdH8027timeH8027.

37Answerעֲנֵ֤נִי'a.Ne.niH6030me, O Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,answerעֲנֵ֔נִי'a.Ne.niH6030me, that thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971may knowוְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045that You, O Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,are Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430, and thatYou have turnedהֲסִבֹּ֥תָha.si.Bo.taH5437their heartלִבָּ֖םli.BamH3820backH322againH322.”

39When allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971sawוַיַּרְא֙vai.yaR'H7200it, they fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307on their facesפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440;and they saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “The Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,He is Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430;the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,He is Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430.”
40Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֨הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559to them, “Seizeתִּפְשׂ֣וּ׀tif.SuH8610the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168;do not let oneאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376of them escapeיִמָּלֵ֥טyi.ma.LetH4422.”So they seizedוַֽיִּתְפְּשׂ֑וּםvai.yit.pe.SumH8610them; and Elijahאֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙'e.li.Ya.huH452broughtH3381them downוַיּוֹרִדֵ֤םvai.yo.ri.DemH3381tothe brookנַ֣חַלNa.chalH5158Kishonקִישׁ֔וֹןki.ShonH7028,and slewוַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֖םvai.yish.cha.TemH7819them thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033.

43He saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to his servantנַעֲר֗וֹna.'a.RoH5288, “Goעֲלֵֽה־'a.leh-H5927up nowנָא֙na'H4994,lookהַבֵּ֣טha.BetH5027towardדֶּֽרֶךְ־de.rekh-H1870the seaיָ֔םYamH3220.”So he wentוַיַּ֙עַל֙vai.Ya.'alH5927up and lookedוַיַּבֵּ֔טvai.ya.BetH5027and saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “ThereH369is nothingמְא֑וּמָהme.'U.mahH369H3972.”And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goשֻׁ֖בshuvH7725backH7725”sevenשֶׁ֥בַעShe.va'H7651timesפְּעָמִֽים׃pe.'a.MimH6471.
44It cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961about at the seventhבַּשְּׁבִעִ֔יתba.she.vi.'ItH7637time,that he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009,a cloudעָ֛ב'avH5645as smallקְטַנָּ֥הke.ta.NahH6996as a man’sאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376handכְּכַף־ke.khaf-H3709is comingעֹלָ֣ה'o.LahH5927up from the seaמִיָּ֑םmi.YamH3220.”And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goעֲלֵ֨ה'a.LehH5927up, sayאֱמֹ֤ר'e.MorH559to Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256, ‘Prepareאֱסֹ֣ר'e.SorH631your chariotand goוָרֵ֔דva.RedH3381downH3381, so that the heavyshowerהַגָּֽשֶׁם׃ha.Ga.shemH1653does not stopיַעַצָרְכָ֖הya.'a.tza.re.KhahH6113you.’”
