6So he saidוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to her, “Becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588I spokeאֲ֠דַבֵּר'A.da.berH1696to Nabothנָב֨וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֜יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158and saidוָאֹ֣מַרva.'O.marH559to him, ‘Giveתְּנָה־te.nah-H5414me your vineyardכַּרְמְךָ֙kar.me.KhaH3754for moneyבְּכֶ֔סֶףbe.Khe.sefH3701;orא֚וֹ'oH176else, ifאִם־'im-H518it pleasesחָפֵ֣ץcha.FetzH2655you, I will giveאֶתְּנָה־'e.te.nah-H5414you a vineyardכֶ֖רֶםKhe.remH3754in its placeתַּחְתָּ֑יוtach.TavH8478.’But he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, ‘I will not giveאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414you my vineyardכַּרְמִֽי׃kar.MiH3754.’”
7Jezebelאִיזֶ֣בֶל'i.Ze.velH348his wifeאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ'ish.ToH802saidוַתֹּ֤אמֶרva.To.merH559to him, “Do you nowעַתָּ֛ה'a.TahH6258reignתַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה מְלוּכָ֖הta.'a.Seh me.lu.KhahH6213H4410overעַל־'al-H5921Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478?Ariseק֤וּםkumH6965,eatאֱכָל־'e.khol-H398breadלֶ֙חֶם֙le.chemH3899,and let your heartלִבֶּ֔ךָli.Be.khaH3820be joyfulוְיִטַ֣בve.yi.TavH3190;I will giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414you the vineyardכֶּ֖רֶםKe.remH3754of Nabothנָב֥וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִֽי׃hai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158.”
8So she wroteוַתִּכְתֹּ֤בva.tikh.ToH3789lettersסְפָרִים֙se.fa.RimH5612in Ahab’sאַחְאָ֔ב'ach.'AvH256nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034and sealedוַתַּחְתֹּ֖םva.tach.TomH2856them with his sealבְּחֹתָמ֑וֹbe.cho.ta.MoH2368,and sentוַתִּשְׁלַ֣חva.tish.LachH7971lettersסְפָרִ֗יםhas.fa.rimH5612tothe eldersהַזְקֵנִ֤יםhaz.ke.NimH2205and to the noblesהַֽחֹרִים֙ha.cho.RimH2715whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834were livingהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427with Nabothנָבֽוֹת׃na.VotH5022in his cityבְּעִיר֔וֹbe.'i.RoH5892.
10and seatוְ֠הוֹשִׁיבוּVe.ho.shi.vuH3427twoשְׁנַ֨יִםshe.Na.yimH8147worthlessבְלִיַּעַל֮ve.li.ya.'AlH1100menH376beforeנֶגְדּוֹ֒neg.DoH5048him, and let them testifyוִיעִדֻ֣הוּvi.'i.Du.huH5749against him, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘You cursedבֵּרַ֥כְתָּbe.Rakh.taH1288Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430and the kingוָמֶ֑לֶךְva.Me.lekhH4428.’Then takeוְהוֹצִיאֻ֥הוּve.ho.tzi.'U.huH3318him out andstoneוְסִקְלֻ֖הוּve.sik.Lu.huH5619himto deathוְיָמֹֽת׃ve.ya.MotH4191.”

11So the menH376of his cityעִיר֜וֹi.RoH5892,the eldersהַזְּקֵנִ֣יםha.ze.ke.NimH2205and the noblesוְהַחֹרִ֗יםve.ha.cho.RimH2715whoH834livedהַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֙hai.yo.she.VimH3427in his cityבְּעִיר֔וֹbe.'i.RoH5892,didוַיַּעֲשׂוּ֩vai.ya.'a.SuH6213as Jezebelאִיזָ֑בֶל'i.Za.velH348had sentשָׁלְחָ֥הsha.le.ChahH7971wordto them, justH3512as it was writtenכָּתוּב֙ka.TuvH3789in the lettersבַּסְּפָרִ֔יםba.se.fa.RimH5612whichH834she had sentשָׁלְחָ֖הsha.le.ChahH7971them.
13Then the twoשְׁנֵ֨יshe.NeiH8147worthlessבְלִיַּעַל֮ve.li.ya.'AlH1100menH376cameוַ֠יָּבֹאוּVai.ya.vo.'uH935in and satוַיֵּשְׁב֣וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427beforeנֶגְדּוֹ֒neg.DoH5048him; and the worthlessהַבְּלִיַּ֜עַלha.be.li.Ya.'alH1100menH376testifiedוַיְעִדֻהוּ֩vay.'i.du.HuH5749against him, even against Nabothנָב֗וֹתna.VotH5022,beforeנֶ֤גֶדNe.gedH5048the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Nabothנָב֛וֹתna.VotH5022cursedבֵּרַ֥ךְbe.RakhH1288Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430and the kingוָמֶ֑לֶךְva.Me.lekhH4428.”So they tookוַיֹּצִאֻ֙הוּ֙vai.yo.tzi.'U.huH3318him outsideמִח֣וּץmi.ChutzH4480H2351the cityלָעִ֔ירla.'IrH5892and stonedוַיִּסְקְלֻ֥הוּvai.yis.ke.Lu.huH5619himto deathוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191with stonesבָאֲבָנִ֖יםva.'a.va.NimH68.
15When Jezebelאִיזֶ֔בֶל'i.Ze.velH348heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085that Nabothנָב֖וֹתna.VotH5022had been stonedסֻקַּ֥לsu.KalH5619and was deadוַיָּמֹ֑תvai.ya.MotH4191,Jezebelאִיזֶ֜בֶל'i.Ze.velH348saidוַתֹּ֨אמֶרva.To.merH559to Ahabאַחְאָ֗ב'ach.'AvH256, “Ariseק֣וּםkumH6965,takeרֵ֞שׁreshH3423possessionH3423of the vineyardכֶּ֣רֶם׀Ke.remH3754of Nabothנָב֣וֹתna.VotH5022,the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֗יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834he refusedמֵאֵן֙me.'EnH3985to giveלָתֶת־la.tet-H5414you for moneyבְכֶ֔סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701;for Nabothנָב֛וֹתna.VotH5022is not aliveחַ֖יchaiH2416,but deadמֵֽת׃MetH4191.”
16When Ahabאַחְאָ֖ב'ach.'AvH256heardכִּשְׁמֹ֥עַkish.Mo.a'H8085that Nabothנָב֑וֹתna.VotH5022was deadמֵ֣תmetH4191,Ahabאַחְאָ֗ב'ach.'AvH256aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965to goלָרֶ֛דֶתla.Re.detH3381downH3381to the vineyardכֶּ֛רֶםKe.remH3754of Nabothנָב֥וֹתna.VotH5022the Jezreeliteהַיִּזְרְעֵאלִ֖יhai.yiz.re.'e.LiH3158,to takeלְרִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ סle.rish.ToH3423possessionH3423of it.
18“Ariseק֣וּםkumH6965,goרֵ֗דRedH3381downH3381to meetלִקְרַ֛אתlik.RatH7122Ahabאַחְאָ֥ב'ach.'AvH256kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834is in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְר֑וֹןbe.sho.me.RonH8111;beholdהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009,he is in the vineyardבְּכֶ֣רֶםbe.Khe.remH3754of Nabothנָב֔וֹתna.VotH5022whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֖ם'a.Sher- shamH834H8033he has goneH3381downיָ֥רַדYa.radH3381to takeלְרִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃le.rish.ToH3423possessionH3423of it.
19You shall speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֨ve.di.bar.TaH1696to him, sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, ‘Thusכֹּ֚הkohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “Have you murderedהֲרָצַ֖חְתָּha.ra.Tzach.taH7523and alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571takenH3423possessionיָרָ֑שְׁתָּya.Ra.she.taH3423?”’And you shall speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֨ve.di.bar.TaH1696to him, sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, ‘Thusכֹּ֚הkohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “In the placeבִּמְק֗וֹםbim.KomH4725whereאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the dogsהַכְּלָבִים֙ha.ke.la.VimH3611lickedלָקְק֤וּla.ke.KuH3952up the bloodדַּ֣םdamH1818of Nabothנָב֔וֹתna.VotH5022the dogsהַכְּלָבִ֛יםha.ke.la.VimH3611will lickיָלֹ֧קּוּya.Lo.kuH3952up your bloodדָּמְךָ֖da.me.KhaH1818,evenגַּם־gam-H1571yoursאָֽתָּה׃'A.tahH859.”’”

21BeholdH2009,I will bringמֵבִ֤יאme.vi'H935evilH7463upon you, andwill utterlyH1197sweepוּבִעַרְתִּ֖יu.vi.'ar.TiH1197you awayH1197,and will cutוְהִכְרַתִּ֤יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772offH3772from Ahabלְאַחְאָב֙le.'ach.'AvH256everyH8366maleבְּקִ֔ירbe.KirH8366H7023,both bondוְעָצ֥וּרve.'a.TzurH6113and freeוְעָז֖וּבve.'a.ZuvH5800in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478;

24The one belonging to Ahabלְאַחְאָב֙le.'ach.'AvH256,who diesהַמֵּ֤תha.MetH4191in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892,the dogsהַכְּלָבִ֑יםha.ke.la.VimH3611will eatיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398,and the one who diesוְהַמֵּת֙ve.ha.MetH4191in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704the birdsע֥וֹףofH5775of heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064will eatיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398.”
