50And Adonijahוַאֲדֹ֣נִיָּ֔הוּva.'a.Do.ni.Ya.huH138was afraidיָרֵ֖אya.Re'H3372of Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010,and he aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,wentוַיֵּ֔לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980andtookH2388holdוַֽיַּחֲזֵ֖קvai.ya.cha.ZekH2388of the hornsבְּקַרְנ֥וֹתbe.kar.NotH7161of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ha.miz.Be.achH4196.

51Now it was toldוַיֻּגַּ֤דvai.yu.GadH5046Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹה֙lish.lo.MohH8010,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Beholdהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009,Adonijahאֲדֹ֣נִיָּ֔הוּ'a.Do.ni.Ya.huH138is afraidיָרֵ֖אya.Re'H3372of Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010,for beholdוְ֠הִנֵּהVe.hi.nehH2009,he has takenH270holdאָחַ֞ז'a.ChazH270of the hornsבְּקַרְנ֤וֹתbe.kar.NotH7161of the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ha.miz.Be.achH4196,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘Let Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010swearיִשָּֽׁבַֽע־yi.sha.va'-H7650to me todayכַיּוֹם֙khai.yOmH3117that he will not putיָמִ֥יתya.MitH4191his servantעַבְדּ֖וֹav.DoH5650to deathH4191with the swordבֶּחָֽרֶב׃be.Cha.revH2719.’”

52Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Ifאִ֚ם'imH518he is a worthyחַ֔יִלCha.yilH2428manלְבֶן־le.ven-H1121,not one of his hairsמִשַּׂעֲרָת֖וֹmi.sa.'a.ra.ToH8185will fallיִפֹּ֥לyi.PolH5307to the groundאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776;but ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518wickednessH7463is foundתִמָּצֵא־ti.ma.tze'-H4672in him, he will dieוָמֵֽת׃va.MetH4191.”

53So Kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֞חvai.yish.LachH7971,and they broughtH3381him downוַיֹּרִדֻ֙הוּ֙vai.yo.ri.Du.huH3381from the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַha.miz.Be.achH4196.And he cameוַיָּבֹ֕אvai.ya.Vo'H935and prostratedוַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּvai.yish.Ta.chuH7812himselfbefore Kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010,and Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010saidוַיֹּֽאמֶר־vai.yo.mer-H559to him, “Goלֵ֥ךְlekhH1980to your houseלְבֵיתֶֽךָ׃ פle.vei.Te.khaH1004.”
