9So they strippedוַיַּ֨פְשִׁיטֻ֔הוּvai.Yaf.shi.Tu.huH6584him and tookוַיִּשְׂא֥וּvai.yis.'UH5375his headרֹאשׁ֖וֹro.ShoH7218and his armorכֵּלָ֑יוke.LavH3627and sentוַיְשַׁלְּח֨וּvay.sha.le.ChuH7971messengersaroundסָבִ֗יבsa.VivH5439the landבְאֶֽרֶץ־ve.'e.retz-H776of the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֜יםfe.lish.TimH6430to carryH1319the good newsלְבַשֵּׂ֛רle.va.SerH1319to their idolsעֲצַבֵּיהֶ֖ם'a.tza.bei.HemH6091and to the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

10They putוַיָּשִׂ֙ימוּ֙vai.ya.Si.muH7760his armorכֵּלָ֔יוke.LavH3627in the houseבֵּ֖יתbeitH1004of their godsאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430and fastenedתָקְע֖וּta.ke.'UH8628his headגֻּלְגָּלְתּ֥וֹgul.gal.ToH1538in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Dagonדָּגֽוֹן׃ סda.GonH1712.

11When allכֹּ֖לkolH3605Jabesh-gileadיָבֵ֣ישׁ גִּלְעָ֑דya.Veish gil.'AdH3003 H1568heardוַֽיִּשְׁמְע֔וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085allכָּל־kol-H3605that the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֖יםfe.lish.TimH6430had doneעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213to Saulלְשָׁאֽוּל׃le.sha.'UlH7586,
