Isaiah 30:6-11
6The 1oracle concerning the 2beasts of the 3Negev. Through a land of 4distress and anguish, From 5where come lioness and lion, viper and 6flying serpent, They 7carry their riches on the 8backs of young donkeys And their treasures on 9camels’ humps, To a people who cannot profit them;7Even Egypt, whose 10help is vain and empty. Therefore, I have called 11her “1213Rahab who has been exterminated.”8Now go, 14write it on a tablet before them And inscribe it on a scroll, That it may 15serve in the time to come 16As a witness forever.9For this is a 17rebellious people, 18false sons, Sons who 19refuse to 20listen To the 21instruction of the Lord;10Who say to the 22seers, “You must not see visions”; And to the prophets, “You must not 23prophesy to us what is right, 24Speak to us 25pleasant words, Prophesy illusions.11Get out of the way, 26turn aside from the path, 2728Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
