29If these men dieיְמֻת֣וּןye.mu.TunH4191the common deathכְּמ֤וֹתke.MotH4194of all menהָֽאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120,or if they be visitedיִפָּקֵ֖דyi.pa.KedH6485after the visitationוּפְקֻדַּת֙u.fe.ku.DatH6486of all menהָ֣אָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120; thenthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hath not sentשְׁלָחָֽנִי׃she.la.Cha.niH7971me.

30But if the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068makeיִבְרָ֣אyiv.Ra'H1254a new thingבְּרִיאָ֞הbe.ri.'AhH1278,and the earthהָאֲדָמָ֤הha.'a.da.MahH127openוּפָצְתָ֨הu.fa.tze.TahH6475her mouthפִּ֙יהָ֙pi.haH6310,and swallow them upוּבָלְעָ֤הu.val.'AhH1104, with all that appertainunto them, and they go downוְיָרְד֥וּve.ya.re.DuH3381quickחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416into the pitשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585;then ye shall understandוִֽידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that these menהָאֲנָשִׁ֥יםha.'a.na.ShimH582have provokedנִֽאֲצ֛וּni.'a.TzuH5006the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

31And it came to pass, as he had made an endכְּכַלֹּת֔וֹke.kha.lo.ToH3615of speakingלְדַבֵּ֕רle.da.BerH1696all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697,that the groundהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127clave asunderוַתִּבָּקַ֥עva.ti.ba.Ka'H1234that was under them:

32And the earthהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776openedוַתִּפְתַּ֤חva.tif.TachH6605her mouthפִּ֔יהָPi.haH6310,and swallowed them upוַתִּבְלַ֥עva.tiv.La'H1104,and their housesבָּתֵּיהֶ֑םba.tei.HemH1004,and all the menהָאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120that appertainedunto Korahלְקֹ֔רַחle.Ko.rachH7141, and all theirgoodsהָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ha.ra.KhushH7399.

33They, and all that appertainedto them, went downוַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּvai.Ye.re.DuH3381aliveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416into the pitשְׁאֹ֑לָהshe.'O.lahH7585,and the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776closedוַתְּכַ֤סva.te.KhasH3680upon them: and they perishedוַיֹּאבְד֖וּvai.yoe.DuH6from amongמִתּ֥וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the congregationהַקָּהָֽל׃ha.ka.HalH6951.

34And all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478that wereround aboutסְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖םse.vi.vo.tei.HemH5439them fledנָ֣סוּNa.suH5127at the cryלְקֹלָ֑םle.ko.LamH6963of them: for they saidאָֽמְר֔וּ'a.me.RuH559,Lest the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776swallow us upתִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּtiv.la.'E.nuH1104also.

35And there came outיָצְאָ֖הya.tze.'AhH3318a fireוְאֵ֥שׁve.'EshH784from the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and consumedוַתֹּ֗אכַלva.To.khalH398the two hundredוּמָאתַ֙יִם֙u.ma.Ta.yimH3967and fiftyהַחֲמִשִּׁ֤יםha.cha.mi.ShimH2572menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376that offeredמַקְרִיבֵ֖יmak.ri.VeiH7126incenseהַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ פha.ke.To.retH7004.

36And the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spakeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

37Speakאֱמֹ֨ר'e.MorH559unto Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֜ר'el.'a.ZarH499the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548,that he take upוְיָרֵ֤םve.ya.RemH7311the censersהַמַּחְתֹּת֙ha.mach.TotH4289outמִבֵּ֣יןmi.BeinH996of the burningהַשְּׂרֵפָ֔הha.se.re.FahH8316,and scatterזְרֵה־ze.reh-H2219thou the fireהָאֵ֖שׁha.'EshH784yonderהָ֑לְאָהHal.'ahH1973;for they are hallowedקָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ka.De.shuH6942.

38The censersמַחְתּוֹת֩mach.tOtH4289of these sinnersהַֽחַטָּאִ֨יםha.cha.ta.'ImH2400against their own soulsבְּנַפְשֹׁתָ֗םbe.naf.sho.TamH5315,let them makeוְעָשׂ֨וּve.'a.SuH6213them broadרִקֻּעֵ֤יri.ku.'EiH7555platesפַחִים֙fa.ChimH6341fora coveringצִפּ֣וּיtzi.PuiH6826of the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַla.miz.Be.achH4196:for they offeredהִקְרִיבֻ֥םhik.ri.VumH7126them beforeלִפְנֵֽי־lif.nei-H6440the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,therefore they are hallowedוַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּvai.yik.Da.shuH6942:and they shall be a signלְא֖וֹתle.'otH226unto the childrenלִבְנֵ֥יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

39And Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֣ר'el.'a.ZarH499the priestהַכֹּהֵ֗ןha.ko.HenH3548tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947the brasenהַנְּחֹ֔שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178censersמַחְתּ֣וֹתmach.TotH4289,wherewith they that were burntהַשְּׂרֻפִ֑יםha.se.ru.FimH8313had offeredהִקְרִ֖יבוּhik.Ri.vuH7126;and they were made broadוַֽיְרַקְּע֖וּםvay.ra.ke.'UmH7554plates fora coveringצִפּ֥וּיtzi.PuiH6826of the altarלַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃la.miz.Be.achH4196:

40To bea memorialזִכָּר֞וֹןzi.ka.RonH2146unto the childrenלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,thatלְ֠מַעַןLe.ma.'anH4616 H834no strangerאִ֣ישׁ זָ֗ר'ish ZarH2114 H376, which isnot of the seedמִזֶּ֤רַעmi.Ze.ra'H2233of Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175,come nearיִקְרַ֜בyik.RavH7126to offerלְהַקְטִ֥ירle.hak.TirH6999incenseקְטֹ֖רֶתke.To.retH7004beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;that he be not as Korahכְקֹ֙רַח֙khe.Ko.rachH7141,and as his companyוְכַ֣עֲדָת֔וֹve.Kha.'a.da.ToH5712:as the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068saidדִּבֶּ֧רdi.BerH1696to him by the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872.

41But on the morrowמִֽמָּחֳרָ֔תmi.mo.cho.RatH4283all the congregationעֲדַ֤ת'a.DatH5712of the childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478murmuredוַיִּלֹּ֜נוּvai.yi.Lo.nuH3885against Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and against Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Ye have killedהֲמִתֶּ֖םha.mi.TemH4191the peopleעַ֥ם'amH5971of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

42And it came to pass, when the congregationהָֽעֵדָה֙ha.'e.DahH5712was gatheredבְּהִקָּהֵ֤לbe.hi.ka.HelH6950against Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872and against Aaronאַהֲרֹ֔ן'a.ha.RonH175,that they lookedוַיִּפְנוּ֙vai.yif.NuH6437toward the tabernacleאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵ֔דmo.'EdH4150:and, behold, the cloudהֶעָנָ֑ןhe.'a.NanH6051coveredכִסָּ֖הוּkhi.Sa.huH3680it, and the gloryכְּב֥וֹדke.VodH3519of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֖אvai.ye.Ra'H7200.

43And Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֔ןve.'a.ha.RonH175cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935beforeפְּנֵ֖יpe.NeiH6440the tabernacleאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵֽד׃ פmo.'EdH4150.

44And the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spakeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872,sayingלֵּאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

45Get you upהֵרֹ֗מּוּhe.Ro.muH7426from amongמִתּוֹךְ֙mi.toKhH8432this congregationהָעֵדָ֣הha.'e.DahH5712,that I may consumeוַאֲכַלֶּ֥הva.'a.kha.LehH3615them as in a momentכְּרָ֑גַעke.Ra.ga'H7281.And they fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307upon their facesפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃pe.nei.HemH6440.

46And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֜הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Aaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175,Takeקַ֣חkachH3947a censerהַ֠מַּחְתָּהHa.mach.tahH4289,and putוְתֶן־ve.ten-H5414fireאֵ֜שׁ'eshH784therein from offמִלִּפְנֵ֥יmi.lif.NeiH6440the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ha.miz.Be.achH4196,and putוְשִׂ֣יםve.SimH7760on incenseקְטֹ֔רֶתke.To.retH7004,and goH3212quicklyמְהֵרָ֛הme.he.RahH4120unto the congregationהָעֵדָ֖הha.'e.DahH5712,and make an atonementוְכַפֵּ֣רve.kha.PerH3722for them: for there is wrathהַקֶּ֛צֶףha.Ke.tzefH7110gone outיָצָ֥אya.Tza'H3318from the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068;the plagueהַנָּֽגֶף׃ha.Na.gefH5063is begunהֵחֵ֥לhe.ChelH2490.

47And Aaronאַהֲרֹ֜ן'a.ha.RonH175tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947as Mosesמֹשֶׁ֗הmo.ShehH4872commandedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and ranוַיָּ֙רָץ֙vai.Ya.rotzH7323into the midstתּ֣וֹךTokhH8432of the congregationהַקָּהָ֔לha.ka.HalH6951;and, behold, the plagueהַנֶּ֖גֶףha.Ne.gefH5063was begunהֵחֵ֥לhe.ChelH2490among the peopleבָּעָ֑םba.'AmH5971:and he putוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414on incenseהַקְּטֹ֔רֶתha.ke.To.retH7004,and made an atonementוַיְכַפֵּ֖רvay.kha.PerH3722for the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.

48And he stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֥דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975between the deadהַמֵּתִ֖יםha.me.TimH4191and the livingהַֽחַיִּ֑יםha.chai.YimH2416;and the plagueהַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃ha.ma.ge.FahH4046was stayedוַתֵּעָצַ֖רva.te.'a.TzarH6113.

49Now they that diedהַמֵּתִים֙ha.me.TimH4191in the plagueבַּמַּגֵּפָ֔הba.ma.ge.FahH4046were fourteenאַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר'ar.ba.'Ah 'a.SarH6240 H702thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505and sevenוּשְׁבַ֣עu.she.Va'H7651hundredמֵא֑וֹתme.'otH3967,beside them that diedהַמֵּתִ֖יםha.me.TimH4191about the matterדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Korahקֹֽרַח׃Ko.rachH7141.

50And Aaronאַהֲרֹן֙'a.ha.RonH175returnedוַיָּ֤שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725unto Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872unto the doorפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tabernacleאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of the congregationמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150:and the plagueוְהַמַּגֵּפָ֖הve.ham.ma.ge.FahH4046was stayedנֶעֱצָֽרָה׃ פne.'e.Tza.rahH6113.
