40And when the servantsעַבְדֵ֥י'av.DeiH5650of Davidדָוִ֛דda.VidH1732were comeוַיָּבֹ֜אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Abigailאֲבִיגַ֖יִל'a.vi.Ga.yilH26to Carmelהַכַּרְמֶ֑לָהha.kar.Me.lahH3760,they spakeוַיְדַבְּר֤וּvay.da.be.RuH1696unto her, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732sentשְׁלָחָ֣נוּshe.la.Cha.nuH7971us unto thee, to takeלְקַחְתֵּ֥ךְle.kach.TekhH3947thee to him to wifeלְאִשָּֽׁה׃le.'i.ShahH802.

41And she aroseוַתָּ֕קָםva.Ta.komH6965,and bowedוַתִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּva.tish.Ta.chuH7812herself on herfaceאַפַּ֖יִם'a.Pa.yimH639to the earthאָ֑רְצָה'A.re.tzahH776,and saidוַתֹּ֗אמֶרva.To.merH559, Behold, letthine handmaidאֲמָֽתְךָ֙'a.ma.te.KhaH519bea servantלְשִׁפְחָ֔הle.shif.ChahH8198to washלִרְחֹ֕ץlir.ChotzH7364the feetרַגְלֵ֖יrag.LeiH7272of the servantsעַבְדֵ֥י'av.DeiH5650of my lordאֲדֹנִֽי׃'a.do.NiH113.

42And Abigailאֲבִיגַ֗יִל'a.vi.Ga.yilH26hastedוַתְּמַהֵ֞רva.te.ma.HerH4116,and aroseוַתָּ֣קָםva.Ta.komH6965,and rodeוַתִּרְכַּב֙va.tir.KavH7392upon an assהַחֲמ֔וֹרha.cha.MorH2543,with fiveוְחָמֵשׁ֙ve.cha.MeshH2568damselsנַעֲרֹתֶ֔יהָna.'a.ro.Tei.haH5291of hers that wentH1980afterלְרַגְלָ֑הּle.rag.LahH7272her; and she wentH3212afterאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310the messengersמַלְאֲכֵ֣יmal.'a.KheiH4397of Davidדָוִ֔דda.VidH1732,and became his wifeלְאִשָּֽׁה׃le.'i.ShahH802.

43Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732also tookלָקַ֥חla.KachH3947Ahinoamאֲחִינֹ֛עַם'a.chi.No.'amH293of Jezreelמִֽיִּזְרְעֶ֑אלmi.yiz.re.'ElH3157;and they were also bothשְׁתֵּיהֶ֥ןshe.tei.HenH8147of them his wivesלְנָשִֽׁים׃ סle.na.ShimH802.

44But Saulוְשָׁא֗וּלve.sha.'UlH7586had givenנָתַ֛ןna.TanH5414Michalמִיכַ֥לmi.KhalH4324his daughterבִּתּ֖וֹbi.ToH1323,David’sדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732wifeאֵ֣שֶׁת'E.shetH802,to Phaltiלְפַלְטִ֥יle.fal.TiH6406the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Laishלַ֖יִשׁLa.yishH3919, which wasof Gallimמִגַּלִּֽים׃mi.ga.LimH1554.
