Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 49:7-16
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the redeemerH1350 of IsraelH3478, and his HolyH6918 One, to him whomH834 manH5315 despiseth, to him whomH834 the nationH1471 abhorreth, to a servantH5650 of rulersH8269: KingsH4428 shall seeH7200 and ariseH6965; princesH8269, and they shall worshipH7812; becauseH834 of the LORDH3068 that is faithfulH539, evenH3541 the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478, who hath chosenH977 thee.
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, In an acceptableH7522 time have I answeredH559 thee, and in a dayH3117 of salvationH3444 have I helpedH5826 thee: and I will preserveH5341 thee, and giveH5414 thee for a covenantH1285 of the peopleH5971, to raiseH6965 upH6965 the landH776, to makeH5414 them inheritH5157 the desolateH8074 heritagesH5159;
sayingH559 to them that are boundH631, GoH3318 forthH3318; to them that are in darknessH2822, Shew yourselves. They shall feedH7462 in the waysH1870, and on allH3605 bareH8205 heightsH8205 shall be their pastureH4830.
They shall notH3808 hungerH7456 norH3808 thirstH6770; neitherH3808 shall the heatH8273 norH3808 sunH8121 smiteH5221 them: for he that hath mercyH7355 on them shall leadH5095 them, evenH3588 by the springsH4002 of waterH4325 shall he guideH5095 them.
And I will makeH7760 allH3605 my mountainsH2022 a wayH1870, and my highwaysH4546 shall be exaltedH7311.
LoH2009, theseH428 shall comeH935 from farH7350: and, loH2009, theseH428 from the northH6828 and from the westH3220; and theseH428 from the landH776 of SinimH5515.
SingH7442, O heavensH8064; and be joyfulH7440, O earthH776; and breakH6476 forthH6476 intoH776 singingH7440, O mountainsH2022: for the LORDH3068 hath comfortedH5162 his peopleH5971, and will have compassionH7355 upon his afflictedH6041.
But ZionH6726 saidH559, JehovahH3068 hath forsaken meH7911, and the LordH3068 hath forgottenH7911 meH7911.
CanH1121 a womanH802 forgetH7911 herH802 sucking childH1121, that sheH3808 should notH3808 have compassionH7355 on the sonH1121 of herH802 wombH990? yea, theseH428 may forgetH7911, yet will notH3808 I forgetH7911 thee.
BeholdH2005, I have graven thee uponH5921 the palmsH3709 of my handsH3709; thy wallsH2346 are continuallyH8548 beforeH5048 meH5921.
