Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 3:1-8
For, beholdH2009, the LordH3068, the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, doth takeH5493 awayH5493 from JerusalemH3389 and from JudahH3063 stay and staffH4938, the wholeH3605 stay of breadH3899, and the wholeH3605 stay of waterH4325;
the mightyH1368 manH376, and the manH376 of warH4421; the judgeH8199, and the prophetH5030, and the divinerH7080, and the ancient;
the captainH8269 of fiftyH2572, and the honourable manH2450, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the skilful enchanterH3908.
And I will giveH5414 childrenH5288 to be their princesH8269, and babes shall ruleH4910 over them.
And the peopleH5971 shall be oppressedH5065, everyH376 one by anotherH7453, and everyH376 one by his neighbour: the childH5288 shall behave himselfH3513 proudly againstH376 the ancient, and the base againstH376 the honourable.
When a manH376 shall takeH1980 holdH8610 of his brotherH251 in the houseH1004 of his fatherH1, saying, Thou hast clothingH8071, be thou our rulerH7101, and letH1980 this ruin be underH8478 thy handH3027:
in that dayH3117 shall he liftH5375 upH5375 his voice, sayingH559, I will notH3808 be an healerH2280; for in my houseH1004 is neitherH3808 breadH3899 norH3808 clothingH8071: ye shall notH3808 makeH7760 meH7760 rulerH7101 of the peopleH5971.
For JerusalemH3389 is ruined, and JudahH3063 is fallenH5307: becauseH3588 their tongueH3956 and their doingsH4611 are againstH413 the LORDH3068, to provoke the eyesH5869 of his gloryH3519.
