Deuteronomy 4:23-31
TakeH8104 heedH8104 unto yourselves, lestH6435 ye forgetH7911 the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068 your GodH430, whichH834 he madeH6213 with youH834, and makeH6213 youH834 a gravenH6459 imageH6459 in the formH8544 of anyH3605 thingH3605 whichH834 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath forbidden thee.
For the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 is a devouringH398 fireH784, a jealousH7067 GodH430.
When thou shalt begetH3205 childrenH1121, and children’sH1121 childrenH1121, and ye shall have been longH3462 in the landH776, and shall corruptH7843 yourselves, and makeH6213 a gravenH6459 imageH6459 in the formH8544 of anyH3605 thingH3588, and shall doH6213 that whichH5869 is evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to provokeH3707 him to angerH3707:
I call heavenH8064 and earthH776 to witness againstH5921 youH859 this dayH3117, that ye shall soonH3588 utterlyH6 perishH6 from offH5921 the landH776 whereunto ye goH5674 over JordanH3383 to possessH3423 it; ye shall notH3808 prolongH748 your daysH3117 uponH5921 it, but shall utterlyH6 be destroyedH8045.
And the LORDH3068 shall scatterH6327 youH834 among the peoplesH5971, and ye shall be leftH7604 fewH4557 in numberH4557 among the nationsH1471, whither the LORDH3068 shall lead youH834 awayH5090.
And there ye shall serveH5647 godsH430, the workH4639 of men’sH120 handsH3027, woodH6086 and stoneH68, whichH834 neitherH3808 seeH7200, norH3808 hearH8085, norH3808 eatH398, norH3808 smellH7306.
But ifH3588 from thence ye shall seekH1245 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, thou shalt findH4672 him, ifH3588 thou searchH1245 afterH3588 him with allH3605 thy heartH3824 and with allH3605 thy soulH5315.
When thou art in tribulation, and allH3605 theseH428 things are comeH7725 upon thee, in the latterH319 daysH3117 thou shalt returnH7725 to the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and hearken unto his voiceH6963:
for the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 is a mercifulH7349 GodH430; he will notH3808 failH7503 thee, neitherH3808 destroyH7843 thee, norH3808 forgetH7911 the covenantH1285 of thy fathersH1 whichH834 he sware unto them.
