Revised Version 1895
Deuteronomy 13:13-17
13CertainH259 base fellows are gone outH3427 from the midst of thee, and have drawn away the inhabitantsH3427 of their cityH5892, sayingH559, LetH5414 usH5414 go and serve otherH259 godsH430, whichH834 ye have notH3588 knownH8085;
14then shalt thou inquire, and makeH3045 search, and askH559 diligently; and, beholdH3808, ifH834 it be truth, and the thing certainH376, that suchH834 abomination is wrought in the midstH7130 of thee;
15thou shalt surelyH2063 smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and allH1697 that is therein and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16And thou shalt gather allH3605 the spoil of it intoH2719 the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the cityH5892, and allH3605 the spoil thereof everyH3605 whit, unto the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
17And there shall cleave nought of the devoted thingH3605 to thine hand: that the LORDH3068 may turnH1961 from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercyH3068, and have compassion uponH1961 thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
