Revised Version 1895
Chronicles 6:22-39
IfH518 a manH376 sinH2398 againstH6440 his neighbour, and an oathH423 be laidH5375 uponH935 him to cause him to swear, and he comeH935 and swear beforeH6440 thine altarH4196 in this houseH1004:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064, and doH6213, and judgeH8199 thy servantsH5650, requiting the wickedH7563, to bringH7725 his wayH1870 upon his own headH7218; and justifyingH6663 the righteousH6662, to giveH5414 him accordingH4480 to his righteousnessH6666.
And ifH518 thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478 be smitten downH5062 beforeH6440 the enemyH341, becauseH3588 they have sinnedH2398 againstH6440 thee; and shall turnH7725 againH7725 and confessH3034 thy nameH8034, and prayH6419 and makeH7725 supplicationH6419 beforeH6440 thee in this houseH1004:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064, and forgiveH5545 the sinH2403 of thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and bringH7725 them againH7725 unto the landH127 whichH834 thou gavest to them and to their fathersH1.
When the heavenH8064 is shutH6113 upH853, and there is noH3808 rainH4306, becauseH3588 they have sinnedH2398 againstH413 thee; ifH3588 they prayH6419 towardH413 this placeH4725, and confessH3034 thy nameH8034, and turnH7725 from their sinH2398, when thou dost afflictH6031 them:
then hearH8085 thou in heavenH8064, and forgiveH5545 the sinH2403 of thy servantsH5650, and of thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, when thou teachest them the goodH2896 wayH1870 whereinH834 they should walkH1870; and sendH5414 rainH4306 uponH5921 thy landH776, whichH834 thou hast givenH5414 to thy peopleH5971 for an inheritanceH5159.
IfH3588 there be in the landH776 famineH7458, ifH3588 there be pestilenceH1698, ifH3588 there be blasting or mildewH3420, locustH697 or caterpiller; ifH3588 their enemiesH341 besiege them in the landH776 of their citiesH8179; whatsoeverH3605 plagueH1698 or whatsoeverH3605 sicknessH4245 there be;
whatH834 prayerH8605 and supplicationH8467 soever be madeH3045 by anyH3605 manH376 or by allH3605 thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, whichH834 shall knowH3045 everyH3605 manH376 his ownH1961 plagueH5061 and his ownH1961 sorrowH4341, and shall spreadH6566 forthH3045 his handsH3709 towardH413 this houseH1004:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064 thy dwellingH3427 placeH4349, and forgiveH5545, and renderH5414 unto everyH3605 manH376 accordingH4480 to allH3605 his waysH1870, whoseH834 heartH3824 thou knowest; (for thou, evenH3588 thou onlyH905, knowest the heartsH3824 of the childrenH1121 of menH376;)
that they may fearH3372 thee, to walkH1870 in thy waysH1870, soH4616 longH3117 as they liveH2416 in the landH127 whichH834 thou gavest unto our fathersH1.
MoreoverH1571 concerning the strangerH5237, that is notH3808 of thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, when he shall comeH935 from a farH7350 countryH776 for thy greatH1419 name’sH8034 sakeH4616, and thy mightyH2389 handH3027, and thy stretchedH5186 outH5186 armH2220; when they shall comeH935 and payH5186 towardH413 this houseH1004:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064, evenH3588 from thy dwellingH3427 placeH4349, and doH6213 accordingH5921 to allH3605 that the strangerH5237 calleth to thee for; that allH3605 the peoplesH5971 of the earthH776 may knowH3045 thy nameH8034, and fearH3372 thee, as doth thy peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and that they may knowH3045 that this houseH1004 whichH834 I have builtH1129, is calledH7121 by thy nameH8034.
IfH3588 thy peopleH5971 goH3318 outH3318 to battleH4421 againstH5921 their enemiesH341, by whatsoever wayH1870 thou shalt sendH7971 them, and they prayH6419 unto thee towardH413 this cityH5892 whichH834 thou hast chosenH977, and the houseH1004 whichH834 I have builtH1129 for thy nameH8034:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064 their prayerH8605 and their supplicationH8467, and maintain their causeH4941.
IfH3588 they sinH2398 againstH413 thee, (for there is noH3808 manH120 that sinneth notH3808,) and thou be angryH599 with them, and deliverH5414 them to the enemyH341, soH5414 that they carry them awayH7617 captiveH7617 unto a landH776 farH7350 offH7350 or nearH7138;
yet ifH834 they shall bethink themselves, in the landH776 whither they are carriedH7617 captiveH7617, and turnH7725 againH7725, and makeH7725 supplication unto thee in the landH776 of their captivityH7633, sayingH559, WeH834 have sinnedH2398, weH834 have doneH2398 perversely, and have dealt wickedlyH7561;
ifH834 they returnH7725 unto thee with allH3605 their heartH3820 and with allH3605 their soulH5315 in the landH776 of their captivityH7633, whither they have carriedH7617 them captiveH7617, and prayH6419 towardH413 their landH776, whichH834 thou gavest unto their fathersH1, and the cityH5892 whichH834 thou hast chosenH977, and towardH413 the houseH1004 whichH834 I have builtH1129 for thy nameH8034:
then hearH8085 thou from heavenH8064, evenH853 from thy dwellingH3427 placeH4349, their prayerH8605 and their supplicationsH8467, and maintain their causeH4941; and forgiveH5545 thy peopleH5971 whichH834 have sinnedH2398 againstH4480 thee.
