Revised Version 1895
Chronicles 30:2-12
For the kingH4428 had taken counselH3289, and his princesH8269, and allH3605 the congregationH6951 in JerusalemH3389, to keepH6213 the passoverH6453 in the secondH8145 monthH2320.
For they couldH3201 notH3808 keepH6942 it at that time, becauseH3588 the priestsH3548 had notH3808 sanctifiedH6942 themselvesH6942 in sufficient number, neitherH3808 had the peopleH5971 gatheredH622 themselvesH6942 togetherH622 to JerusalemH3389.
And the thingH1697 was rightH3474 in the eyesH5869 of the kingH4428 and of allH3605 the congregationH6951.
SoH6213 they establishedH5975 a decreeH1697 to makeH6213 proclamationH6963 throughoutH3605 allH3605 IsraelH3478, from Beer-sheba evenH5704 to DanH1835, that they should comeH935 to keepH6213 the passoverH6453 unto the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, at JerusalemH3389: for they had notH3808 keptH6213 it in greatH7230 numbersH7230 in suchH3605 sort as it is writtenH3789.
SoH7725 the posts wentH7725 with the lettersH107 from the kingH4428 and his princesH8269 throughoutH3605 allH3605 IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, and accordingH413 to the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428, sayingH559, Ye childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, turnH7725 againH7725 unto the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of AbrahamH85, IsaacH3327, and IsraelH3478, that he may returnH7725 to the remnantH7604 that are escapedH6413 of youH3605 outH413 of the handH3027 of the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804.
And be notH408 ye like your fathersH1, and like your brethrenH251, whichH834 trespassed against the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, soH1961 that he gaveH5414 them upH7200 to desolationH8047, as ye seeH7200.
NowH6258 be ye notH408 stiffnecked, as your fathersH1 were; but yieldH5414 yourselves unto the LORDH3068, and enterH935 intoH935 his sanctuaryH4720, whichH834 he hath sanctifiedH6942 for everH5769, and serveH5647 the LORDH3068 your GodH430, that his fierceH2740 angerH639 may turnH7725 awayH7725 from youH834.
For ifH518 ye turnH7725 againH7725 unto the LORDH3068, your brethrenH251 and your childrenH1121 shall find compassionH7356 beforeH6440 them that ledH6440 them captiveH7617, and shall comeH7725 againH7725 intoH413 this landH776: for the LORDH3068 your GodH430 is graciousH2587 and mercifulH7349, and will notH3808 turnH7725 awayH5493 his faceH6440 from youH3588, ifH518 ye returnH7725 unto him.
SoH1961 the posts passedH5674 from cityH5892 to cityH5892 throughH5674 the countryH776 of EphraimH669 and ManassehH4519, evenH5704 unto ZebulunH2074: but they laughedH7832 them to scornH7832, and mockedH3932 them.
NeverthelessH389 divers of AsherH836 and ManassehH4519 and of ZebulunH2074 humbledH3665 themselvesH3665, and cameH935 to JerusalemH3389.
Also in JudahH3063 was the handH3027 of GodH430 to giveH5414 them one heartH3820, to doH6213 the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428 and of the princesH8269 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.
