2 Chronicles 23:1-11

1And in the seventhH7637 yearH8141 JehoiadaH3077 strengthenedH2388 himselfH2388, and tookH3947 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967, AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of JerohamH3395, and IshmaelH3458 the sonH1121 of JehohananH3076, and AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of ObedH5744, and MaaseiahH4641 the sonH1121 of AdaiahH5718, and ElishaphatH478 the sonH1121 of ZichriH2147, intoH3947 covenantH1285 with him.

2And they wentH935 aboutH413 in JudahH3063, and gatheredH6908 the LevitesH3881 outH413 of allH3605 the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and the headsH7218 of fathers’H1 houses of IsraelH3478, and they cameH935 to JerusalemH3389.

3And allH3605 the congregationH6951 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the kingH4428 in the houseH1004 of GodH430. And he saidH559 unto them, BeholdH2009, the king’sH4428 sonH1121 shall reignH4427, as the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 concerning the sonsH1121 of DavidH1732.

4This is the thingH1697 that ye shall doH6213: a thirdH7992 partH4480 of youH834, that comeH935 in on the sabbathH7676, of the priestsH3548 and of the LevitesH3881, shall be porters of the doors;

5and a thirdH7992 partH7992 shall be at the king’sH4428 houseH1004; and a thirdH7992 partH7992 at the gateH8179 of the foundationH3247: and allH3605 the peopleH5971 shall be in the courtsH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.

6But letH408 noneH3605 comeH935 intoH935 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, save the priestsH3548, and they that ministerH8334 of the LevitesH3881; they shall comeH935 in, for they are holyH6944: but allH3605 the peopleH5971 shall keepH8104 the watchH8104 of the LORDH3068.

7And the LevitesH3881 shall compass the kingH4428 roundH5439 aboutH1961, everyH376 manH376 with his weaponsH3627 in his handH3027; and whosoever cometh intoH413 the houseH1004, letH1961 him be slain: and be ye with the kingH4428 when he cometh in, and when he goeth outH3318.

8SoH6213 the LevitesH3881 and allH3605 JudahH3063 didH6213 accordingH376 to allH3605 that JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680: and they tookH3947 everyH3605 manH376 his menH376, thoseH3605 that were to comeH935 in on the sabbathH7676, with thoseH3605 that were to goH3318 outH3318 on the sabbathH7676; for JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 dismissed notH3808 the courses.

9And JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 deliveredH5414 to the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967 the spearsH2595, and bucklers, and shieldsH4043, that had been kingH4428 David’sH1732, whichH834 were in the houseH1004 of GodH430.

10And he setH5975 allH3605 the peopleH5971, everyH3605 manH376 with his weaponH7973 in his handH3027, from the rightH3233 sideH3802 of the houseH1004 to the leftH8042 sideH3802 of the houseH1004, alongH5921 by the altarH4196 and the houseH1004, by the kingH4428 roundH5439 aboutH5439.

11Then they broughtH3318 outH3318 the king’sH4428 sonH1121, and putH5414 the crownH5145 uponH5921 him, and gaveH5414 him the testimonyH5715, and madeH5414 him kingH4428: and JehoiadaH3077 and his sonsH1121 anointedH4886 him; and they saidH559, GodH559 save the kingH4428.
