Revised Version 1895
Chronicles 21:8-17
In his daysH3117 EdomH123 revoltedH6586 from underH8478 the handH3027 of JudahH3063, and made a kingH4428 over themselvesH5921.
Then JehoramH3088 passedH5674 over with his captainsH8269, and allH3605 his chariotsH7393 with him: and he roseH6965 upH6965 by nightH3915, and smoteH5221 the EdomitesH123 which compassed him aboutH1961, and the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393.
SoH3588 EdomH123 revoltedH6586 from underH8478 the handH3027 of JudahH3063, unto this dayH3117: then didH3117 LibnahH3841 revolt at the sameH1931 time from underH8478 his handH3027: becauseH3588 he had forsaken the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of his fathersH1.
MoreoverH1571 he madeH6213 highH1116 placesH1116 in the mountainsH2022 of JudahH3063, and madeH6213 the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to go a whoring, and ledH5080 JudahH3063 astrayH5080.
And there cameH935 a writingH4385 to him from ElijahH452 the prophetH5030, sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of DavidH1732 thy fatherH1, BecauseH834 thou hast notH3808 walkedH1980 in the waysH1870 of JehoshaphatH3092 thy fatherH1, norH3808 in the waysH1870 of AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063;
but hast walked in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, and hast madeH1571 JudahH3063 and the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 to go a whoring, like as the houseH1004 of AhabH256 did; and also hast slainH2026 thy brethrenH251 of thy father’sH1 houseH1004, whichH1004 were betterH2896 thanH4480 thyself:
beholdH2009, the LORDH3068 will smiteH5062 with a greatH1419 plagueH4046 thy peopleH5971, and thy childrenH1121, and thy wivesH802, and allH3605 thy substance:
and thou shalt have greatH7227 sicknessH2483 by diseaseH2483 of thy bowelsH4578, untilH5704 thy bowelsH4578 fall outH3318 by reasonH5921 of the sicknessH2483, dayH3117 by dayH3117.
And the LORDH3068 stirredH5782 upH5921 againstH5921 JehoramH3088 the spiritH7307 of the PhilistinesH6430, and of the Arabians whichH834 are besideH5921 the EthiopiansH3569:
and they cameH5927 upH5927 againstH5927 JudahH3063, and brake intoH5927 it, and carriedH5927 awayH7617 allH3605 the substance that was foundH4672 in the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and his sonsH1121 also, and his wivesH802; soH3808 that there was neverH3808 a sonH1121 leftH7604 him, save JehoahazH3059, the youngestH6996 of his sonsH1121.
