12And the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֥אvai.ye.Ra'H7200unto him, and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Yhwhיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068iswith thee, thou mightyגִּבּ֥וֹרgi.BorH1368man of valourהֶחָֽיִל׃he.Cha.yilH2428.

13And Gideonגִּדְעוֹן֙gid.'OnH1439saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Ohבִּ֣יbiH994my Lordאֲדֹנִ֔י'a.do.NiH113,ifוְיֵ֤שׁve.YeshH3426Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068be with us, why then is all this befallenמְצָאַ֖תְנוּme.tza.'At.nuH4672us? and where beall his miraclesנִפְלְאֹתָ֡יוnif.le.'o.TavH6381which our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֜ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1toldסִפְּרוּ־si.pe.ru-H5608us of, sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,Did not Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068bring us upהֶעֱלָ֣נוּhe.'e.La.nuH5927from Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714?but now Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hath forsakenנְטָשָׁ֣נוּne.ta.Sha.nuH5203us, and deliveredוַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖נוּvai.yi.te.Ne.nuH5414us into the handsבְּכַף־be.khaf-H3709of the Midianitesמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.

14And Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068lookedוַיִּ֤פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437upon him, and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,GoH3212in this thy mightבְּכֹחֲךָ֣be.kho.cha.KhaH3581,and thou shalt saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ֥ve.ho.sha'.TaH3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478from the handמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709of the Midianitesמִדְיָ֑ןmid.YanH4080:have not I sentשְׁלַחְתִּֽיךָ׃she.lach.Ti.khaH7971thee?

15And he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Ohבִּ֣יbiH994my Lordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136,wherewithבַּמָּ֥הba.MahH4100shall I saveאוֹשִׁ֖יעַ'o.Shi.a'H3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478?behold, my familyאַלְפִּי֙'al.PiH505 H504ispoorהַדַּ֣לha.DalH1800in Manassehבִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔הbim.na.ShehH4519, and I amthe leastהַצָּעִ֖ירha.tza.'IrH6810in my father’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004.

16And Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smiteוְהִכִּיתָ֥ve.hi.ki.TaH5221the Midianitesמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080as oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259manכְּאִ֥ישׁke.'IshH376.

17And he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, If now I have foundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,then shewוְעָשִׂ֤יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213me a signא֔וֹת'otH226that thou talkestמְדַבֵּ֥רme.da.BerH1696with me.

18Departתָמֻ֤שׁta.MushH4185not hence, I pray thee, until I comeבֹּאִ֣יbo.'IH935unto thee, and bring forthוְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ve.ho.tze.TiH3318my presentמִנְחָתִ֔יmin.cha.TiH4503,and setH3240itbeforeלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee. And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559,I will tarryאֵשֵׁ֖ב'e.ShevH3427until thou come againשׁוּבֶֽךָ׃shu.Ve.khaH7725.

19And Gideonוְגִדְע֣וֹןve.gid.'onH1439went inבָּ֗אBa'H935,and made readyוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a kidגְּדִֽי־ עִזִּים֙ge.di- 'i.ZimH1423 H5795,and unleavened cakesמַצּ֔וֹתma.TzotH4682of an ephahוְאֵיפַת־ve.'ei.fat-H374of flourקֶ֣מַחKe.machH7058:the fleshהַבָּשָׂר֙ha.ba.SarH1320he putשָׂ֣םsamH7760in a basketבַּסַּ֔לba.SalH5536,and he putשָׂ֣םsamH7760the brothוְהַמָּרַ֖קve.ha.ma.RakH4839in a potבַּפָּר֑וּרba.pa.RurH6517, and brought itoutוַיּוֹצֵ֥אvai.yo.Tze'H3318unto him under the oakהָאֵלָ֖הha.'e.LahH424,and presentedוַיַּגַּֽשׁ׃ סvai.ya.GashH5066it.

20And the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Takeקַ֣חkachH3947the fleshהַבָּשָׂ֤רha.ba.SarH1320and the unleavened cakesהַמַּצּוֹת֙ha.ma.tzOtH4682,and layH3240themupon thisהַלָּ֔זha.LazH1975rockהַסֶּ֣לַעha.Se.la'H5553,and pour outשְׁפ֑וֹךְshe.FokhH8210the brothהַמָּרַ֖קha.ma.RakH4839.And he didוַיַּ֖עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213so.

21Then the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068put forthוַיִּשְׁלַ֞חvai.yish.LachH7971the endקְצֵ֤הke.TzehH7097of the staffהַמִּשְׁעֶ֙נֶת֙ha.mish.'E.netH4938that wasin his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,and touchedוַיִּגַּ֥עvai.yi.Ga'H5060the fleshבַּבָּשָׂ֖רba.ba.SarH1320and the unleavened cakesוּבַמַּצּ֑וֹתu.vam.ma.TzotH4682;and there rose upוַתַּ֨עַלva.Ta.'alH5927fireהָאֵ֜שׁha.'EshH784out of the rockהַצּ֗וּרha.TzurH6697,and consumedוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398the fleshהַבָּשָׂר֙ha.ba.SarH1320and the unleavened cakesהַמַּצּ֔וֹתha.ma.TzotH4682.Then the angelוּמַלְאַ֣ךְu.mal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068departedהָלַ֖ךְha.LakhH1980out of his sightמֵעֵינָֽיו׃me.'ei.NavH5869.

22And when Gideonגִּדְע֔וֹןgid.'onH1439perceivedוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that he wasan angelמַלְאַ֥ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,Gideonגִּדְע֗וֹןgid.'onH1439saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Alasאֲהָהּ֙'a.HahH162,O Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069!for becauseכֵּ֤ןkenH3651I have seenרָאִ֙יתִי֙ra.'I.tiH7200an angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068faceפָּנִ֖יםpa.NimH6440to faceפָּנִֽים׃pa.NimH6440.

23And Yhwhיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Peaceשָׁל֥וֹםsha.LomH7965beunto thee; fearתִּירָ֑אti.Ra'H3372not: thou shalt not dieתָּמֽוּת׃ta.MutH4191.

24Then Gideonגִּדְע֤וֹןgid.'onH1439builtוַיִּבֶן֩vai.yi.VenH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙miz.Be.achH4196there unto YhwhH3068,and calledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121it Jehovah–shalom, Yhwh Is PeaceH3073:unto this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117it isyet in Ophrahבְּעָפְרָ֖תbe.'a.fe.RatH6084of the Abi–ezritesH33.
