4But before they lay downיִשְׁכָּבוּ֒yish.ka.VuH7901,the menוְאַנְשֵׁ֨יve.'an.SheiH582of the cityהָעִ֜ירha.'IrH5892, eventhe menאַנְשֵׁ֤י'an.SheiH582of Sodomסְדֹם֙se.DomH5467,compassedH5437the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004roundH5437,both oldזָקֵ֑ןza.KenH2205and youngמִנַּ֖עַרmi.Na.'arH5288,all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971from every quarterמִקָּצֶֽה׃mi.ka.TzehH7097:

5And they calledוַיִּקְרְא֤וּvai.yik.re.'UH7121unto Lotלוֹט֙lOtH3876,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמְרוּvai.Yo.me.ruH559unto him, Where arethe menהָאֲנָשִׁ֛יםha.'a.na.ShimH582which came inבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935to thee this nightהַלָּ֑יְלָהha.La.ye.lahH3915?bring them outהוֹצִיאֵ֣םho.tzi.'EmH3318unto us, that we may knowוְנֵדְעָ֖הve.ne.de.'AhH3045them.

6And Lotל֖וֹטLotH3876went outוַיֵּצֵ֧אvai.ye.Tze'H3318at the doorהַפֶּ֑תְחָהha.Pet.chahH6607unto them, and shutסָגַ֥רsa.GarH5462the doorוְהַדֶּ֖לֶתve.ha.De.letH1817after himאַחֲרָֽיו׃'a.cha.RavH310,

7And saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559,I pray you, brethrenאַחַ֖י'a.ChaiH251,do not so wickedlyתָּרֵֽעוּ׃ta.Re.'uH7489.

8Behold now, I have twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147daughtersבָנ֗וֹתva.NotH1323which have not knownיָדְעוּ֙ya.de.'UH3045manאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376;let me, I pray you, bring them outאוֹצִֽיאָה־'o.tzi.'ah-H3318unto you, and doוַעֲשׂ֣וּva.'a.SuH6213ye to them as isgoodכַּטּ֖וֹבka.TovH2896in your eyesבְּעֵינֵיכֶ֑םbe.'ei.nei.KhemH5869:only unto theseהָאֵל֙ha.'ElH411menלָֽאֲנָשִׁ֤יםla.'a.na.ShimH582doתַּעֲשׂ֣וּta.'a.SuH6213nothingאַל־ דָבָ֔ר'al- da.VarH1697 H408;for therefore cameבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935they under the shadowבְּצֵ֥לbe.TzelH6738of my roofקֹרָתִֽי׃ko.ra.TiH6982.

9And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּ׀vai.yo.me.RuH559,Standגֶּשׁ־gesh-H5066backהָ֗לְאָהHal.'ahH1973.And they saidוַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559again,This oneהָאֶחָ֤דha.'e.ChadH259fellowcame inבָּֽא־ba'-H935to sojournלָגוּר֙la.GurH1481,and he will needsוַיִּשְׁפֹּ֣טvai.yish.PotH8199be a judgeשָׁפ֔וֹטsha.FotH8199:now will we deal worseנָרַ֥עna.Ra'H7489with thee, than with them. And they pressedוַיִּפְצְר֨וּvai.yif.tze.RuH6484soreמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966upon the manבָאִ֤ישׁva.'IshH376, evenLotבְּלוֹט֙be.lOtH3876,and came nearוַֽיִּגְּשׁ֖וּvai.yi.ge.ShuH5066to breakלִשְׁבֹּ֥רlish.BorH7665the doorהַדָּֽלֶת׃ha.Da.letH1817.

10But the menהָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ha.'a.na.ShimH582put forthוַיִּשְׁלְח֤וּvai.yish.le.ChuH7971their handיָדָ֔םya.DamH3027,and pulledוַיָּבִ֧יאוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935Lotל֛וֹטLotH3876into the houseהַבָּ֑יְתָהha.Ba.ye.tahH1004to them, and shutסָגָֽרוּ׃sa.Ga.ruH5462to the doorהַדֶּ֖לֶתha.De.letH1817.

11And they smoteהִכּוּ֙hi.KuH5221the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֞יםha.'a.na.ShimH582that wereat the doorפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607of the houseהַבַּ֗יִתha.Ba.yitH1004with blindnessבַּסַּנְוֵרִ֔יםba.san.ve.RimH5575,both smallמִקָּטֹ֖ןmi.ka.TonH6996and greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419:so that they weariedוַיִּלְא֖וּvai.yil.'UH3811themselves to findלִמְצֹ֥אlim.Tzo'H4672the doorהַפָּֽתַח׃ha.Pa.tachH6607.

12And the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֜יםha.'a.na.ShimH582saidוַיֹּאמְר֨וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto Lotל֗וֹטLotH3876,Hast thou hereפֹ֔הFohH6311anyמִֽי־mi-H4310besides? son in lawחָתָן֙cha.TanH2860,and thy sonsוּבָנֶ֣יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121,and thy daughtersוּבְנֹתֶ֔יךָu.ve.no.Tei.khaH1323,and whatsoeverאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834thou hast in the cityבָּעִ֑ירba.'IrH5892, bring themoutהוֹצֵ֖אho.Tze'H3318of this placeהַמָּקֽוֹם׃ha.ma.KomH4725:

13For weאֲנַ֔חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587will destroyמַשְׁחִתִ֣ים אֶת־mash.chi.Tim 'et-H853 H7843this placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,because the cry of themצַעֲקָתָם֙tza.'a.ka.TamH6818is waxen greatגָֽדְלָ֤הga.de.LahH1431beforeאֶת־'et-H854the faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;And Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hath sentוַיְשַׁלְּחֵ֥נוּvay.sha.le.Che.nuH7971us to destroyלְשַׁחֲתָֽהּ׃le.sha.cha.TahH7843it.

14And Lotל֜וֹטLotH3876went outוַיֵּצֵ֨אvai.ye.Tze'H3318,and spakeוַיְדַבֵּ֣ר׀vay.da.BerH1696unto his sons in lawחֲתָנָ֣יו׀cha.ta.NavH2860,which marriedלֹקְחֵ֣יlo.ke.CheiH3947his daughtersבְנֹתָ֗יוve.no.TavH1323,and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Upק֤וּמוּKu.muH6965,get you outצְּאוּ֙tze.'UH3318of this placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725;for Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068will destroyמַשְׁחִ֥יתmash.ChitH7843this cityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892.But he seemed as one that mockedכִמְצַחֵ֖קkhim.tza.ChekH6711untoבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869his sons in lawחֲתָנָֽיו׃cha.ta.NavH2860.
