Titus 3:2-7

to slander no one, 1not to be contentious, to be 2gentle, 3showing every consideration for all people.

4For we too were once foolish, 5disobedient, 6deceived, 7enslaved to 8various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in 9malice and 10envy, hateful, hating one another.

But when the 11kindness of 12God our Savior and His love for mankind 13appeared,

14He saved us, 15not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but 16in accordance with His mercy, by the 17washing of regeneration and 18renewing by the Holy Spirit,

19whom He 20richly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior,

so that being justified by His grace we would be made 21heirs 22according to the hope of eternal life.
