Joel 2:7-25
7They runH7323 like warriorsH1368, They climbH5927 the wallH2346 like soldiersH582H4421; And eachH376 of them 1marchesH1980 2in lineH1870, NorH3808 do they loseH5670 their wayH734.8They do not crowdH1766 eachH376 otherH251, EveryH1397 warriorH1397 of them marchesH1980 in his pathH4546; When they 3burstH5307 throughH1157 the 4defensesH7973, They do not breakH1214 ranksH1214.9They stormH8264 the cityH5892, They runH7323 on the wallH2346; They climbH5927 into the 5housesH1004, They 6enterH935 throughH1157 the windowsH2474 like a thiefH1590.10BeforeH6440 them the earthH776 7quakesH7264, The heavensH8064 trembleH7493, The 8sunH8121 and the moonH3394 becomeH6937 darkH6937, And the starsH3556 loseH622 their brightnessH5051.11The LordH3068 9uttersH5414 His voiceH6963 beforeH6440 10His armyH2428; His campH4264 is indeedH3588 veryH3966 greatH7227, For 11mightyH6099 is one who carriesH6213 outH6213 His wordH1697. The 12dayH3117 of the LordH3068 is indeedH3588 greatH1419 and veryH3966 awesomeH3372, And 13who can endureH3557 it?12“Yet evenH1571 nowH6258,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068, “14ReturnH7725 to Me with allH3605 your heartH3824, And with 15fastingH6685, weepingH1065, and mourningH4553;13And 16tearH7167 your heartH3824 and not merely 17your garmentsH899.” Now returnH7725 to the LordH3068 your GodH430, For He is 18graciousH2587 and compassionateH7349, SlowH750 to angerH639, aboundingH7227 in mercyH2617 And 19relentingH5162 of catastropheH7463.14WhoH4310 knowsH3045, 20He might turnH7725 and relentH5162, And leaveH7604 a 21blessingH1293 behindH310 Him, Resulting in 22a grain offeringH4503 and a drinkH5262 offeringH5262 For the LordH3068 your GodH430.1523BlowH8628 a trumpetH7782 in ZionH6726, 24ConsecrateH6942 a fastH6685, proclaimH7121 a solemnH6116 assemblyH6116,16GatherH622 the peopleH5971, 25sanctifyH6942 the congregationH6951, AssembleH6908 the eldersH2205, GatherH622 the childrenH5768 and the nursingH3243H7699 infantsH3243H7699. Have the 26groomH2860 comeH3318 outH3318 of his roomH2315 And the brideH3618 out of her bridalH2646 chamberH2646.17Let the priestsH3548, the Lord’sH3068 ministersH8334, WeepH1058 27betweenH996 the porchH197 and the altarH4196, And let them sayH559, “2829SpareH2347 Your peopleH5971, LordH3068, And do not makeH5414 Your inheritanceH5159 a 30disgraceH2781, With the nationsH1471 jeeringH4912 at them. WhyH4100 should those among the peoplesH5971 sayH559, ‘31WhereH346 is their GodH430?’”
18Then the LordH3068 32will beH7065 33zealousH7065 for His landH776, And 34will haveH2550 35compassionH2550 for His peopleH5971.19The LordH3068 36will answerH6030 and sayH559 to His peopleH5971, “BeholdH2009, I am going to 37sendH7971 you grainH1715, newH8492 wineH8492, and oilH3323, And you will beH7646 satisfiedH7646 in full with 38them; And I will 39neverH3808 againH5750 makeH5414 you a disgraceH2781 among the nationsH1471.20But I will removeH7368 the 40northernH6830 army farH7368 from you, And I will driveH5080 it into a dryH6723 and desolateH8077 landH776, Its advanceH6440 guardH6440 into the 41easternH6931 seaH3220, And its rearH5490 guardH5490 into the 42westernH314 seaH3220. And its 43stenchH889 will ascendH5927 and its odorH6709 ofH6709 decayH6709 will comeH5927 upH5927, BecauseH3588 it has doneH6213 greatH1431 thingsH1431.”
2144Do not fearH3372, landH127; shoutH1523 forH1523 joyH1523 and rejoiceH8055, For the LordH3068 has doneH6213 45greatH1431 thingsH1431.22Do not fearH3372, animalsH929 of the fieldH7706, For the 46pasturesH4999 of the wildernessH4057 have turnedH1876 greenH1876, For the treeH6086 has producedH5375 its fruitH6529, The figH8384 treeH8384 and the vineH1612 have yieldedH5414 47in fullH2428.23So shoutH1523 forH1523 joyH1523, you 48sonsH1121 of ZionH6726, And 49rejoiceH8055 in the LordH3068 your GodH430; For He has 50givenH5414 you 51the earlyH4175 rainH4175 for your vindicationH6666. And He has broughtH3381 downH3381 for you the rainH1653, The 52earlyH4175 and 5354latterH4456 rainH4456 55as beforeH7223.24The threshingH1637 floorsH1637 will be fullH4390 of grainH1250, And the vatsH3342 will 56overflowH7783 with the newH8492 wineH8492 and oilH3323.25“Then I will compensateH7999 you for the yearsH8141 That the 57swarmingH697 58locustH697 has eatenH398, The creepingH3218 locustH3218, the strippingH2625 locustH2625, and the gnawingH1501 locustH1501-- My greatH1419 armyH2428 whichH834 I sentH7971 among you.
