Nahum 1:2-6
2A 1jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is 2avenging and 3wrathful. The Lord takes 4vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.3The Lord is 5slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In the 6gale and the storm is His way, And 7clouds are the dust beneath His feet.4He 8rebukes the sea and dries it up; He dries up all the rivers. 9Bashan and Carmel wither, The blossoms of Lebanon wither.5Mountains 10quake because of Him, And the hills 11come apart; Indeed the earth is 12upheaved by His presence, The 13world and all the inhabitants in it.614Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the 15burning of His anger? His 16wrath gushes forth like fire, And the 17rocks are broken up by Him.
