Matthew 1:20-23
But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “1Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for 2the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a Son; and 3you shall name Him Jesus, for 4He 5will save His people from their sins.”
Now all this 6took place so that what was 7spoken by the Lord through 8the prophet would be fulfilled:
“9Behold, the virgin will 1011conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him 12Immanuel,” which translated means, “13God with us.”
