Matthew 1:20-23
But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “1Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for 2the Child who has been 3conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
She will bear a Son; and 4you shall call His name Jesus, for 5He 6will save His people from their sins.”
Now all this 7took place to fulfill what was 8spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
“9Behold, the virgin shall be with 10child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name 11Immanuel,” which translated means, “12God with us.”
