Lamentations 2:15-16
15All who pass along the way 1Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They 23hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem: “Is this the city of which they said, ‘4Perfect in beauty, 5A joy to all the earth’?”16All 6your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They 7hiss and 8gnash their teeth. They say, “We have 9engulfed her! This certainly is the 10day which we awaited; We have reached it, we have seen it!”
