Lamentations 2:15-16
15All who pass along the way 1Clap their hands in derision at you; They 2hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem, “Is this the city of which they said, ‘3The perfection of beauty, 4A joy to all the earth’?”16All 5your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They hiss and 6gnash their teeth. They say, “We have 7swallowed her up! Surely this is the 8day for which we waited; We have reached it, we have seen it.”
