John 8:42-44
42Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, 1you would love Me, 2for I came forth from God and am here; for I have 3not even come 4on My own, but 56He sent Me.
43Why do you not understand 78what I am saying? It is because you cannot 9listen to My word.
4410You are of 11your father the devil, and 12you want to do the desires of your father. 13He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because 14there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells 15a lie, he 16speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of 17lies.
