John 8:24-30

24Therefore I said to you that you 1will die in your sins; for unless you believe that 2 3I am, 4you will die in your sins.” 25Then they were saying to Him, “Who are You?” Jesus said to them, “5What have I even been saying to you from the beginning? 26I have many things to say and to judge regarding you, but 6He who sent Me is true; and 7the things which I heard from Him, these I say to the world.” 27They did not realize that He was speaking to them about the Father. 28So Jesus said, “When you 8lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that 9 10I am, and 11I do nothing 12on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me. 29And He who sent Me is with Me; 13He 14has not left Me alone, for 15I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” 30As He said these things, 16many came to believe in Him.
