John 5:23-30

23so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. 1The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

24“Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and 2believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and 3does not come into judgment, but has 4passed out of death into life. 25Truly, truly, I say to you, 5 6a time is coming and 7even now has arrived, when 8the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who 9hear will live. 26For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He 10gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; 27and He gave Him authority to 11execute judgment, because He is 12the Son of Man. 28Do not be amazed at this; for 13 14a time is coming when 15all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29and will come out: 16those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the bad deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

30“17I can do nothing 18on My own. As I hear, I judge; and 19My judgment is 20righteous, because I do not seek My own will but 21the will of Him who sent Me.
