John 2:11-18

11This beginning of His 1 2signs Jesus did in Cana of 3Galilee, and revealed His 4glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

12After this He went down to 5Capernaum, He and His 6mother, and His 7brothers and His 8disciples; and they stayed there a few days.

13 9The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus 10went up to Jerusalem. 14 11And within the temple grounds He found those who were selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. 15And He made a whip of 12cords, and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16and to those who were selling 13the doves He said, “Take these things away from here; stop making 14My Father’s house a 15place of business!” 17His 16disciples remembered that it was written: “17Zeal for Your house will consume me.” 18 18The Jews then said to Him, “19What sign do You show us 20as Your authority for doing these things?”
