John 16:25-32
25“These things I have spoken to you in 1figures of speech; 2an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father. 263On that day 4you will ask in My name, and I am not saying to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; 27for 5the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and 6have believed that 7I came forth from the Father. 288I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and 9going to the Father.”
29His disciples said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and are not 10using any 11figure of speech. 30Now we know that You know all things, and that You have no need for anyone to question You; this is why we 12believe that You 13came forth from God.” 31Jesus replied to them, “Do you now believe? 32Behold, 14an hour is coming, and has already come, for 15you to be scattered, each to 16his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet 17I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
