John 11:33-44

33Therefore when Jesus saw her weeping, and 1the Jews who came with her also weeping, He 2was deeply moved in spirit and 34was troubled, 34and He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.” 35Jesus 5wept. 36So 6the Jews were saying, “See how He 7loved him!” 37But some of them said, “Could this Man, who 8opened the eyes of the man who was blind, not have also 9kept this man from dying?”

38So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, came to the tomb. Now it was a 10cave, and a stone was lying against it. 39Jesus said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, “Lord, by this time 11there will be a stench, for he has been dead 12four days.” 40Jesus said to her, “13Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41So they removed the 14stone. And Jesus 15raised His eyes, and said, “16Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42But I knew that You always hear Me; nevertheless, 17because of the 18people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that 19You sent Me.” 43And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44Out came the man who had died, 20bound hand and foot with wrappings, and 21his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”
