Habakkuk 2:4-8

4“Behold, as for the 1impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the 2righteous one will live by his 3faith.5Furthermore, 4wine betrays an 5arrogant man, So that he does not 6achieve his objective. He 7enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all the nations And collects to himself all the peoples.

6“Will all of these not 8take up a song of ridicule against him, Even a saying and insinuations against him And say, ‘9Woe to him who increases what is not his-- For how long-- And makes himself 10rich with debts!’7Will 11your creditors not 12rise up suddenly, And those who 13collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them.8Since you have 14looted many nations, All the rest of the peoples will loot you-- Because of human bloodshed and violence 15done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants.
