Daniel 5:25-31
25“Now this is the inscription that was written: ‘1Menē, 2Menē, 3Tekēl, 4Upharsin.’ 26This is the interpretation of the 5message: ‘Menē’--God has numbered your kingdom and 6put an end to it. 27‘Tekēl’--you have been 7weighed on the scales and found deficient. 28‘8Perēs’--your kingdom has been divided and given to the 9Medes and 10Persians.”
29Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they 11clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom.
30That same night 12Belshazzar the Chaldean king was 13killed. 3114So 15Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two.
