Daniel 5:25-31
25“Now this is the inscription that was written out: ‘1Menē, 2Menē, 3Tekēl, 4Upharsin.’ 26This is the interpretation of the 5message: ‘Menē’--God has numbered your kingdom and 6put an end to it. 27‘Tekēl’--you have been 7weighed on the scales and found deficient. 28‘Perēs’--your kingdom has been divided and given over to the 8Medes and 9Persians.”
29Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they 10clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the 11third ruler in the kingdom.
30That same night 12Belshazzar the Chaldean king was 13slain. 3114So 15Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two.
